Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/05/18) */
Mr *** was indeed approved for the loan on the rangerWe don't deliver vehicles unless they ARE approvedThe only reason we ever need a vehicle back is if a) we find out the customer lied on the application or b) the customer just backs out
of the dealIn this case, Mr *** just came in and dropped the truck offI was actually present during the time and NO ONE used profanityThe truck has ZERO issuesMr ***, for future reference, there are other ways to handle a situation of this sort rather than coming in and acting like a child and throwing keys at people

This complaint should be listed for Walters used car and truck superstore in Goshen***, just like before, all you need to do is bring in your most recent check stubTypically when you buy a vehicle you dont do it over the phoneYou need
to visit the goshen location where you already purchased from and go through the process againIts as easy as thatYoure not supposed to contact Revdex.com because you feel like youre on "the back burner"Come in and go through the process like all of our other customers doThanks
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/05/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We do not accept because we live hours away from the location and they said to call to make an appointment but every time we call they either won't make an appointment or they just say we will have yours sales person contact us but never doesAnd we don't wanna drive all the way there and they don't have time for us, or can't do anythingIt's already hard enough driving this truck mins but we are gonna have to push it hoursSo for us to come we need to make sure we will be helped the way we need it
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/05/10) */
Again, you can come in or you can not come inYou will be helped once you arrive just like you were before or you can choose not to come backUp to youNo further options will be given

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/12/29) */
When you have bad credit it takes time to "complete" a deal. The subprime lender, the only bank that would risk giving you a loan, wanted to verify you do what you said you do and you live where you say you lived. They also look into your income...

to make sure its valid. If you weren't approved you wouldn't have been allowed to test drive half the lot. Oh, and when autozone used a scan tool to look for codes they would have been able to look at history codes. If these didn't appear, they didn't exist meaning YOU triggered the codes either on purpose or by just how you treated the vehicle. Enjoy the rest of your week. :)
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/12/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First, I was given the impression we were already approved until I talked to the actual lender. In addition, other car lots get you approved and verified before they let you drive off the lot instead of providing a Yo-Yo sale.
Second, I test drove 2 vehicles NOT the entire lot. In fact, the first one didn't even make it off the lot before it died twice. Get your facts right before you start throwing around accusations.
Third, The autozone scanner will NOT pick up codes that have been previously erased. If it did, EVERY code since the beginning of the existence of the vehicle would show up, which makes absolutely no sense considering you erase codes after the problem as been fixed.
When you erase codes, they don't show up again until the issue happens again, which with sensors can take more than just a few miles of driving or a test drive. If somebody from your dealership (my belief) erased the codes to get the check engine light to go off, it could have been days or even weeks before the problem happened again.
It's incredibly uncommon for a vehicle to have 4 completely different sensors all go out at the exact time, which is what the 9 codes registered within just days of buying the vehicle showed. This points to something happening that wasn't exactly above board.
Fourth, I drove the vehicle less than 100 miles and the majority of that was bringing it to Fort Wayne from your lot. You don't get to claim I caused the issue when I barely drove the vehicle and within 10 miles of leaving your lot it had already died once. The problem only got worse on my watch, but certainly didn't start on my watch.
Finally, you still have zero right to screw me out of $750 and take the truck. You don't get it both ways. The lender didn't approve the application because I told them not to due to the vehicle being garbage. I wasn't going to lie to them when they wanted to know the truth.
In addition, nobody ever offered to fix the vehicle and getting ahold of anybody at your company is nearly impossible as I always got stuck leaving messages, which were only returned once. Sure, you tried to call twice the day after Christmas and when I told you to call me in 5 minutes, you called 3 hours later at dinner time expecting for me just to be waiting around for your call as if I have nothing better to do.
All I am asking for is what is fairly and rightfully mine....my down payment. Until I get it, I will continue to tell my story to anybody that will listen and make sure everybody I can reach will understand how you and your company treat customers.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2016/12/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I called several times and left several messages. It's rather petty of you to respond in such a manner really. The only time I could get someone to return my call was when I emailed informing you that I had contacted the lender.
You called 2 times. The first time, I was bagging my groceries and said I would be available in 5 minutes, then I waited and you never called. The second time I was out to dinner with my family and told you I could be available later that night or the next day and heard nothing back.
Don't act like you did your part to contact me when you called twice, not a bunch of times or not at a time I had asked you to call at.
There is no way I would drive 90 minutes to be treated this way in person and after reading the other complaints, if I were to show up in person, I may be walking into a dangerous situation as your company has a reputation for treating customers like [redacted] and even abusing them physically.
You're right, you don't need advice on how scanner work because you know exactly how to use them to make sure vehicles pass a test drive and have problems soon after they are sold.
Whether I get my money back or not, I hope everybody thinking about buying a vehicle from Walters Auto sees this so they know how they are going to be treated by you and this business. If my situation keeps others from going to your business and getting treated like [redacted], it was well worth it.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/12/30) */
The only way you contacted anyone was email or text. You would not answer a phone call or talk to someone in person like a man. If you would like to speak further, please come see me. We dont need advice on how scanners work. If we ever need advice on how to type an email Ill call ya. I am offering NOTHING to you in this matter. Please, enjoy your weekend.

THe day [redacted] called me I had the check cut. She had left a $250 deposit for a vehicle and usually the check is returned upon full payment. Mistakes happen and the check was left with...

the other checks we had and were then deposited. The reimbursement check was made and mailed immediately after [redacted] notified me. I don't know why she would think it would be sent to her bank? I guess if Ms [redacted] has a problem with how long the mail took, call usps or don't ask for it to be mailed. Filing a Revdex.com complaint over this is rather odd. Her father called here threatening to hurt people over $250. She got her check.
OFFER:
Offer ABSOLUTELY nothing as I handled this myself and KNOW it could not have been take care of any faster than it had been.

They still haven't returned the $30 fee I incurred because of their mistake. Zach said it would be included, I asked if he needed proof of this fee he said no he would make sure all was returned to me including the fee.

We were going to see a Yukon Denali not a suburban. We were early to the appointment for this SUV and it was already gone. I did not lie on the application. I told them I was a seasonal worker and gave them all proof that I was. [redacted] filled out my application (he is the car sales man). I do not except their response.

The information you have is incorrect. I'm working on a solution for your request.

So what's the solution I want my [redacted] dollar down payment back

After finding cars that were really nice on their website (www.walters1975.com), I made appointment for the next day to look at 2 them. Not a single car was there and they informed me they sell 50 cars a day. All of the autos had almost bald tires and were very beat up compared to what was on their website. They insited I buy a pick up truck and that they could give me a very good deal on it. The"good deal" was at the top of Kelly Blue books estimation for that vehicle and it was not in very good shape. Also after they told me what the payments were going to be I wanted to know what intrest rate that was calculated from. Their response was that they could not give me that information. I knew then that I needed to get out of there. I then went to a prominent dealer in Laporte and know that I got what I wanted and at exactly what intrest rate. I thought that they have to disclose that information. Not sure what kind of an operation they are running but feel sorry for anyone that deals with them. And besides, I'm 5 foot tall and really didn't want a pick up truck.
