As we spoke on the phoneYour furnace was a model that doesn’t sell as many as the more common sizesThe distributor in some cases will have a unit an extended period of timeSince they only update HVAC lines once every plus years they won’t send back a unit with an older serial number just to
get the same furnace back with a newer numberI am happy to give your buyer a years parts warranty on that furnaceBut a refund I cannot do for a furnace that has worked great for years I looked into your complaint of paying to fix your other furnaceThat was installed in and was over years at the time of the repair that is why the parts were not under warrantySo if you would like a letter saying you have the rest of your year parts warranty as long as it’s cleaned every year and the work is done by is then I’d be happy to send that

We will still stand behind the parts warranty. We have put it into the notes for that address. We cannot refund money for a furnace that has never had a problem since it was installed 7 years ago. We can include a free furnace inspection as well for the new owner. But we cannot provide you any sort of monetary refund.

I am rejecting this response because I was not originally told that the furnace was over three years old.  This is a very standard house so I find it difficult to believe that it would require a furnace that is not sold often.  I spoke with a friend of mine who worked for a competitor and she said they would never sell a three year old furnace unless they first told the person who was purchasing it.  Even the rep from [redacted] said I should have been told since it was over two years old at the time of installation.  I should have received a discount to begin with and told that the furnace was manufactured over three years before the install date.  I know that repairs on my 2000 furnace would not be covered, but this was brought into the mix because of a comment regarding a repair on the furnace in question.

I am rejecting this response because I already offer a home warranty for the new buyer.  I still have to divulge to the new owner that it is a 10 year old furnace, not a 7 year old furnace as originally thought.  I will look through my last seven years of tax returns to see if we did have any other repairs besides the one this past summer due to an issue that was not the fault of the furnace.

Club. We had left 4 messages a year trying to get a hold of you but never received a call back to say you wanted to cancel. We would not know that you had moved if you don't call to let us know. You had stated you were happy with the $240 check we sent out for the last year. And you understood it was a perpetual agreement that continues until you come in to our office to cancel as it says on the form. It has been canceled in our system and there will be no more charges.
