I have purchased the company's Pet carrier back pack in orange/gray. Size L. It will fit a small dog approx. 15 lbs. Less than what is advertised. While I think the bag has a very nice design, the color is not what I expected. It is a very loud neon orange. The kind construction workers wear. I sent an email to customer service to exchange this bag for a more subdued blank color. A pleasant representative replied in a timely manner, telling me it cannot be exchanged, as I purchased with a coupon. Meanwhile everything is always on sale at their website. I was offered only a coupon for next purchase, but my exchange request was denied. Why would I purchase again from a company that can not handle my first request, as simple as exchanging the same product for another color?
We will check it off as a loss on our side and not purchase again from Wandertails nor recommend this company and their shady business practices.
We do not do business like that, regardless if a first time purchase coupon was used or not.
A reputable company will make it right. That sets them apart from the not so great ones. Exchanging the same product for a different color is not the same than requesting a refund. The product is in brand new, never used condition and within in their 14 day return window.
I will also add that all reviews on the companies website are 5 stars. My not flattering review was of course not posted.
I am writing this review with the Revdex.com to make other buyers aware that if they do not like their purchased product, this company will not do what is right.

Regarding your issue, our logistics team made sure that a lot of thorough research and feedback went into the sizing chart for our backpacks. As our reviews show, our sizing is accurate as most of our pawstomers are happy and comfortable in their backpacks. Additionally, we also advise that if you're unsure about sizing, kindly measure your pet before opting for the size and go for a size bigger.

Moreover, I would like to kindly assure you that we sincerely believe in being completely transparent with our customers so the pictures of the backpacks in various colors are pictures that customers themselves have sent us. We have clear pictures for each color variant and those are exactly what we sell.

I would also like to kindly assure you that we clearly mention in our Return/Refund policy that we would be unable to accept returns/exchanges or offer you a replacement on any of our products purchased on sale when there is no damage. Please feel free to check out our Refund/Return policy on our website - https://wandertails.com/pages/refund-return-policy. Having checked your order history, our system shows us that your purchase was a sale order and hence is ineligible for a free replacement or refund. We do, however, offer returns/exchanges for items that are not purchased on sale. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Be 100% sure of your purchase because you will not be able to get a refund. Buried in the fine print, you will find that sale items are not refundable. However...Everything on the website is on sale! So basically, I got a website credit for a company that I would never want to do business with again. Shipping took 15 days. Poor customer service and a terrible refund policy.

We do however accept returns for items that are not purchased on sale.

Additionally, kindly note that based on the selected shipping option, your order was to be delivered in 12-15 business days. Please note that the day of delivery (August 12, 2020) was the 11th business day since you placed your order on July 24, 2020, taking into consideration 2 days for processing on our end. So the order was delivered well within the promised delivery period.

Customer service is virtually non existent.
Product size smaller than recommended for my dog. Unable to exchange due to no communication from company

The carrier does not meet size as stated .
The support straps are too short and unable to be adjusted further.
The unfortunate business model is that everything is on sale all the time so there are never exchanges or refunds.
The response they provided is stock verbiage and nothing personal to address my issues.
They have absolutely no goal to keep an engaged customer.

My experience with Wandertails has been unpleasant from the start. Shipping took longer than expected and when my tracking number stopped working, I contacted the company indicating me issue to see if they had better access to my package location and received a condescending letter explaining how to use a tracking number, like they didn't even read the email explaining the tracking number stopped working. Eventually we received our 2 packs, size large rated to30-40lbs, though judging by the size this is not at all correct, our 4 & 6lb Chihuahuas fit with a small amount of space for a light blanket for comfort. After 6 uses during a hike the shoulder strap frayed away from the body of one of our bags and began fraying away on the second bag, the bags are in otherwise pristine condition. I contacted the company to report this structural and safety issue and was met with a skeptical, dismissive and minimizing response stating that this is the first complaint they have received, sorry for the inconvenience, here is 20% off to buy more product, no further questions or concerns from the company though I had offered photos. I continued the conversation with this company expressing my displeasure with their extremely limited, dismissive response and that I felt the bags should be exchanged/replaced, especially if this is an unusual issue as they claim, my photos were eventually accepted and again I was directed to the no refunds or exchanges unless the product is unused and the offer of 20% off. Who would ever repurchase a product from a company who does not stand behind the quality of their product. These bags are a great concept but are unreliable, cheap quality and poorly made, not at all safe for your pet. Do not waste your money in this product.

Item received much smaller than described on website. I have simply requested an exchange for a larger item. Wandertails have refused.
Purchased dog backpack 27th June 2020. Items arrived two weeks later. Much smaller than described. I simply want to exchange it for a bigger one at the same price.
Wandertails just respond with a generic email basically saying no.

I saw the very cute post another member of a Dachshund forum I belong to made with her husband carrying their pup in a Wandertails Backpack Carrier. I was very intrigued, so I ordered one for our dog. I was a little bit confused on the size so I deferred to the representative from the company who told me to order a size large. My pup is 9 1/2 pounds and her body from her collar to the top of her tail is 13 inches. They told me to order the large instead of the medium. Needless to say, when I received the backpack, it's huge! If I were to put her in it I would need to put three towels in order to make it high enough that she can see through the neck hole and not choke. I emailed them asking them why I did not receive the packing slip, invoice or instructions on how to exchange it for the smaller size. Today I received an form letter email stating that they don't do refunds. I am not asking for a refund, I simply want to exchange it for the smaller size. I have read their policy in full and although it does mention no refunds, it does not state that the product can not be exchanged due to,wrong sizing. I am so disgusted with this company that I wanted to share on their page so none of you make the same mistake that I did!
It's a shame because it seems to be a good quality backpack, I just had a sizing issue after taking advice on sizing from their representative, ***.
Had I made an error myself, I would take responsibility, but I deferred to their professional. To add insult to injury, they are responding to all of my emails with a form letter offering me 20% off to purchase a new backpack and offering no credit toward an exchange!

I am disputing the charge on my CC, as well. Buyer beware!

I purchased a car seat for my dog from this company. After several weeks of not receiving the item, I contacted WanderTails through the only means possible which was an email address. I was told the item was delivered. When I responded and told them I still didn't have it they advised that I contact USPS. I did that. I provided a tracking number and was informed that the item was delivered. I have not seen my purchase. I called my credit card company and they credited my account for the full amount of $39.99. When they reached out to WanderTails they were provided documentation from them and the $39.99 was again deducted from my account.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment i would like the item or my money credited back to my account i have been purchasing items online in good faith for several years and have never encountered a problem. the one time i did the merchant sent another item or they would have credited my account. it is not enough to say it was sent. there needs to be a system in place that insures a consumer receives what they pay for. not this: "well, we sent it, so we're not responsible for it anymore!" many thanks for your help.

thank you for your prompt response. I have been in contact with the business, wandertails. in fact, I received an email from them today. it is always the same, they delivered the package, the postal service says it was delivered also, so they will not refund my money or send another item. they advised me to contact the postal service again. to what end? only to be told the package was delivered. if it was, I never received it.

i'm afraid you will get no further information from them than that.

I look forward to a satisfactory resolution.
