I would rate this company as very poor we bought it in January I thought we were getting a good deal it turns out I got nothing but issues with it I didn't get the proper info on it since we have had it I was told the brakes were good and I have had replace those I had my vehicle to the [redacted] dealership and I had to have transmission cooler lines replaced and now I had an old recall that wapiti should have been addressed when we bought the vanI just want to say that this business has given me nothing but the run around and they broke promises in a deal that we had with my tradeThis business to me is not a creditable business and they should change their policies

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2016/05/09) */
On April, we ( wapiti auto sales ) had submitted an application for financing for *** *** and proceeded with the steps to get an approval( submitted to ***.) The approval and income verification was completed
within hours and we then proceeded to find the vehicle that allowed us to carry over *** negative from a previous *** auto loan which I believe was an outstanding balance from an insurance claimIt was noted that the applicant was wanting an Suv of some sort but we had nothing that fit her approval conditions from *** so we then ordered in a *** that was previously submitted to make sure it fit the criteria*** was informed that the only vehicle that we ( wapiti auto sales ) had that worked to fit her payment call and payout the difference was the SShe then gave us her *** to take the $for her downpayment also needed on the 21stOnce the money was transferred we sent out the vehicle for our Mechanical Inspection to ensure all was passed with the vehicle( we sub out to another mechanical facility for our inspections) I then was off from that afternoon until the following Monday at which time I received a call from *** when she said she was told her car was going to be delivered to her that dayI ensured her that the drivers were on route and they will be thereShe then stated how she wasn't happy with the communication with my sales person Paul so I asked what I could do to help and she said she asked him for the financing information and wanted to know payments etcI answered all her questions to her satisfaction from what I thought because after the questions were answered she said " okay thanks" and hung up
She had asked me about the interest rate which I told her, the biweekly payment and about refinancing in months at 4.9%I told her that I couldn't promise her the rate because its in her hands and its not a common practice to predict future rates due to the fact that missed payments, unpaid collections etc are out of my hands and refinance is not a common practice for the banks eitherI than explained how trading in was term we useI never once told her she couldn't qualify in months again because I cant predict how she would pay her billsMy final words to her were, when the drivers get there to call my cell and I will go over the paper work with her and answer anything elseThis entire time she knew she was getting a ***, I received no phone call at all
The next morning ( Tuesday ) I had all the signed papers on my desk and proceeded to make sure everything was signed properly and faxed them to the bank for funding as we do in every caseI then get a phone call from *** that day stating that she didn't want the warranty I asked her why, she said she didn't need it so I said that's fine we can issue a cheque to her in full refund for that in which she stated that she wanted all new paper work to verify that, I told her that the papers are in the bank and that I cant just alter and scratch out papers and that not to worry that I will talk to my manager she said okay and we said good bye to each other
Later that day she called and stated that some of the paint or factory coating blew off the rim in the carwash and that she wasn't happy about that and that and I asked if she was using a car wash etc and she said yes so I said again, that I would speak to my manager and see about getting another rim for her either from ford or outside source and she was okay with thatLater on that afternoon she called again and said that she took it to a shop and that the coolant was low and *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** I mentioned to her that she had days of knowledge about what she was getting, she put money down, we delivered it to her, she signed the papers on her own free will and that the papers were in the bank and now your throwing *** in my face!, and that her exsisting loan money was being paid out and then she mentioned that is wasn't the correct motor either, I said the engine size has never been part of any conversation at all so why is it all of a sudden? She replied that she was shopping online as saw cheaper ones in Edmonton etc, I said that I cant compete with Edmonton and that just because I had more in my inventory that I wasn't able to drop my price to the comparables that she emailed me but then she was demanding that she return the car and I asked what about the costs that im already out? She said that she didn't care so I told her that I have done nothing wrong here and that I feel I have lost a repeat customer already so I will wait for *** and I am only going to do what I need to legally unless she paid for the we had shorted on our financing from the bank
From what I understand, she had already filed out a complaint with *** and the Revdex.com which I have received and will state my side of the storySince then I have spoken to *** and she said that because I didn't reply in her time frame she felt neglected or put aside which is not the caseIn short, she knew about what she was purchasing days before delivery, it was never something that she was tricked, or forced into purchasing at any time from anyone in my dealership and that because I didn't agree to all her demands after everything was signed and finalized she has made the complaints*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 14, 2016/05/26) */
Warranty on the rim of this car was denied, *** stated chemical damage after only viewing pictures, auto body worker stated it was NOT chemical damage, but a paint defect, he stated it could not be fixed and the rim would need to be replaced
Tried working something out with Wapiti, Dave said he would contact me with info, that was weeks ago, still no responseTo replace the single rim factory is $500-$600, to replace all will cost me roughly $
I would like this resolved, in a timely manner, not months from now
Final Business Response /* (4000, 16, 2016/06/02) */
on May 24th I received an email from her stating:
***
I am just waiting on a response about if the rim issue can be resolved, as well as a question regarding what Paul originally told me when I was considering a car, and what you had told me when I first discussed the warranty and trading the car in after months, that I could refinance for a lower interest rate, as the current is actually not helping my situation since my annual interest is far more due to the higher loanWill I be able to refinance in months and would that be through the bank or through Wapiti if it is in fact possible?
I would greatly appreciate a response on both the rim issue and the refinance questions, I currently still have your dealer plate as well and have been waiting on a response to find out how to return it
I replied that I wont be assisting in replacing the rim due to the conflict between an autobody shop and *** stating different reasons the rim did what it did after a pressure wash and that she could send the plate Via *** which she replied she would take it to registries because she has better things to do with her timeI have all email transactions with her also
I have a pretty vulgar phone recording of our conversation prior and I will not assist any further with herwe have done everything to try to rectify all her addressed complaints and with *** verifying that we did no wrong and now because *** wont help after an autobody stated that its due to the factory coating being improper I feel that its not my responsibility to replace or repair the rim*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Dave B*** had refused to help me right after I signed the paperwork, he refused to contact me back after I told him I did not agree to warranty, after I called him about the paint peeling off the rim, and after I told him I did t want the car after I was lied to about its condition and who was previously driving it, since Paul told me it was 'old person' driven, yet there was no coolant so a very poor maintenance was performed, and rap music saved in the favoritesI felt used and misledDave originally told me he would fix the rim situation by replacing all the rims, due to heavy curb rash also being a factor*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***
*** he said he could look into the rim situation again, he did not contact me for weeks, I sent an email that was ignored, then sent another days later with his response he wasn't helping, he also did not answer my question about refinancing since I was given a horrible interest rate on the car, in comparison to my credit

I am the Finance Manager here at Wapiti Auto Sales who signed Mrs. [redacted]. I will attach the bill of sale where it cleary states she declined purchasing any extended warranty and initialed beside it. I also explained her...

truck was no longer under any manufacturer's warranty as I do with all my customers who no longer have any. There was no information being withheld on her previous purchase, she never inquired where the [redacted] came from at all. When she called us telling us telling us something felt wrong with her truck we followed the necessary steps by booking her an appointment for a diagnosis and we discovered that the clutch pack was making a noise, which is inconvenient but was not broken [redacted]. The fix would cost $500.00 . We spoke with [redacted] that day as she still owes us $1400.00 for her down payment which we had agreed to work with her on it. She told our salesman that we would not be getting the money down, he asked what she would be able to come up with and she told him $600.00 max. He informed her that we would not be able to pay for the fix but when she saved up enough for the parts we would do the work for her. Being she still owes us the $1400.00 she understood at the time and left what seemed to happy. We are aware that she had requested to reverse the deal on her 30 day mark, we had already inspected her [redacted] and put money into it. It is not policy to reverse deals either.

I was never offered a warranty and it clearly states in the contract that I have 30 days to void the deal. I will never be dealing with that company ever again. [redacted]
