To whom it may conccern: The patient did not understand my explanation. Medical billing is very specific and it is fraud if you submit a claim when you have not met the specific components necessary in the exam. The E & M code needs to match the ICD-10 coding and documented in the office notes.I could only bill for what I did, not more. Unfortunately, she did not say in our conversation that she was not satisfied with my explanation. She is disputiing a $20.00 co-pay. Deductibles and co-pays have become a burden for the consumer. However, this is the income that pays the practitioner for the examination. These fee schedules aredetermined by the insurance companies.Thank you for the opportunity to try to explain the situation.
