Warner Holdings Reviews (1)

Review: Warner Holdings Garage performed unauthorized work on my vehicle and wanted me to pay for it when I picked the car up on 10/25/13. I had it in for an inspection and wasn't aware that I had any problems with my brakes, and they proceeded to replace both the brakes and rotors on the front of my car. I received a phone call after the brakes and rotors were replaced telling me that's what it needed to pass inspection and that I owed them $285. They had also done this to me previously regarding another repair to my car that was needed and just fixed it without consulting me first to be sure I could pay for it when I picked up the car. I was charged $240 at that time for the unauthorized work done.Desired Settlement: I do not feel I should pay for the rotors and brake replacement since they did not get my authorization first. They indicate that I currently owe $185.

To: Revdex.com of Metro Washington DC & Eastern PA

To whom it may concern:

This letter is in response to a complaint ([redacted]) that was lodged against our business, Warner Holdings Garage. This complaint stated that unauthorized work was performed on a 2009 Chevy Equinox belonging to [redacted]. She states that unauthorized work was done to her vehicle on 10/25/13.

This vehicle was scheduled for a PA State Emissions and Inspection and an oil change. The mechanic that was inspecting the vehicle noted that the front brake pads were too thin to pass PA State Inspection and that the front brake rotors were warped and also failed Inspection. He made a snap decision to replace the brake pads and rotors because the Inspection Stickers were only valid for 5 more days. His decision was based on convenience for the customer in completing the job and getting the valid Inspection Stickers issued before the end of the month. The secretary had not come in to work yet (she starts at 8:45am) and he performed the necessary work without calling for approval as is our standard operating procedure. We are sorry for the misunderstanding and realize that **. [redacted] should have been contacted prior to the repairs being performed.

When **. [redacted] expressed her dissatisfaction upon picking up her vehicle, we apologized to her for replacing the brake pads and rotors without contacting her first. We said that we completely understood if she was not able to pay for the repair at that time and that she could pay for the brake pads and rotors at her convenience.

Our aim as a local, family owned and operated auto repair center is to serve our community by providing prompt, accurate and affordable services to our customers. Our business has been serving this community1 since 1948 and as the third generation we strive to provide both fair and honest service. We sincerely regret that we made this error in judgement and offer to waive the charges tor both the brake pads and rotors as well as the labor cost as an act of good faith-
