receiver. Our Service Fee has increased from the initial $70 fee she paid in 2013. I also offered to gave her the option of a $50 connection fee, she declined this as well.
This customer also signed up for our internet service in 2013 as well, and in August of 2014 we disconnected her for non payment(our last payment from her was received 3/11/2014)and sent her account for internet services to collections for $244.70.

I was not told of any additional charges that were for new receiver. My previous bill I have with them shouldn't have been brought up because that was filed in my bankruptcy. I can take them to court for even bringing that up or discussing a debt that has been discharged. I was told the $70 was for any service while I still lived at the address. If they were changing fees and making people pay for additional boxes a notice of change should have been sent. Again I do not agree with there response and I will contact my lawyer regarding the debt that was brought up.
Also before I went into debt with my internet bill I tried numerous time to call and pay my bill. The customer service is horrible with this company. They never answer the phone and they wait a long prior of time to call back. When I'm working I can't answer the phone. When I called back no answer only voicemail.
I have spoken with my management where I live and was told that she has had lots of complaints regard there pricing and service. I told management I was filing a complaint and I was advise to do so.
Again they are ripping people off and over charging people for there service.

Our service fee applies to all of the properties we cover. As many of our customers are not in residence for more than 2 years, and customers DirecTV accounts are directly with DirecTV, it makes it hard to notify current DirecTV customers of changes in service fees if they would like additional receivers. I did offer to reduce her service fee from the regular service fee of $95 to $50 (only covering the connection). I know the customer would like us to send her a receiver, however, we are unable to do this. The only people that would actually be able to ship her a receiver would be DirecTV. For her to obtain a receiver from us, it requires a technician to come out and install the receiver. Though the building she is living in is prewired for DirecTV, it is most likely that the room she would like the new receiver placed is active. When our technicians set up initial installs they only have the rooms that the customer initially wants the receivers activated to help prevent an overload on the system, however additional equipment is added as needed. As I stated before many of our DirecTV customer are not in their units long enough to want additional receivers.
As for not returning phone calls. If we did not respond to phone calls it is because we did not receive a voicemail message. We are a small company and we are unable to answer more than one phone call at a time.
