Warner was to trim palm trees in our community. On finishing we still had fronds brushing buildings and they won't correct w/o another $350. Pd $975
We have used Warner for many years without an issue. We asked them to trim 18 palm trees in our community. When they had completed the work, we still had palm fronds brushing our buildings and at least one that was cut left in the bushes. We reviewed the work with them and they refused to fix it unless we paid an additional $350 over the $975 we already paid them. We are very disappointed with their attitude and service.
We would like Warner to get the palm fronds off our buildings and remove any fronds left in bushes or elsewhere.
We were in fact contracted to trim the palm trees in the community as reported. We completed the trimming to ANSI standards, which are the tree industry pruning guidelines. We removed the seed pods as well as live and dead growth below the horizontal plane. The healthy fronds were left at the "9-3 positions"
ANSI standards. (ANSI A300 Part 1) states that 1) Live, healthy fronds should not be removed, and 2) Live, healthy fronds above horizontal shall not be removed. The exception is palms encroaching on electric supply lines.
We were paid immediately upon completion of the work. Several days after the fact, I was contacted by the property manager stating that Ms. was not happy and that the fronds could not touch the buildings. This was the FIRST time this was mentioned. I repeat, there was no mention of the buildings upon hiring us initially. If it had been brought up, this entire situation would have been avoided as I'd have refused to take the project on under these conditions.
I explained that, the palms had all been planted way too close to the buildings and that to clear the buildings from the palm fronds would require butchering entire sides of the palms and I was not prepared to do that without an understanding that: 1) I would not be held responsible if the palms died as a result of their demand to severely over prune them. Further, they would need to sign a waiver acknowledging this and 2) There would be an additional charge of $350 to send my crew back out to the property to complete the desired task.
Ms. didn't want to agree to the terms and then threatened me with this poor Revdex.com review if I didn't concede to her demands to butcher her palms at no additional charge. We have been in business for nearly 12 years now and have earned a stellar reputation for quality, professionalism and integrity. We have earned the respect of all of the local city and county arborists as well as literally thousands of repeat customers.
This complaint is completely unreasonable and I refuse to step foot on Highland Glen's property ever again. Therefore, the "customers desired resolution" will never happen. It's far too easy this day and age for people to try to destroy good companies on social media and other online outlets.

We do not agree that they made this clear to us. The only reason we asked them to trim the palms was to get them off the buildings.
