I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Attention: Ms. [redacted]
Re: Chart Complaint submitted on 11/3/2014 Complaint ID [redacted]
Dear Ms. [redacted]
This is in response to your letter dated 11/6/2014. I agree with Mr. [redacted] General Manager of Midtown Motors. We, my partner and I did visit the dealership in March of 2012 and we also filled out an application for credit. I understand the plain ignorance of discrimination and it does not bother me, I am to old for lack of educated people. My major complaint is they stole money by lies and deception and think they can get away with it.
What I am most concerned about is the white color crime of theft by deception. According to **, our salesmen, a representative from the bank was in the office, a big sale has just ended that day and this was the only truck left. He told us we could get this truck for a lot less then what we did, he began the negotiators and gave us a price, he gave us a price, we did not offer. We then filled out a credit application. Then he came back and the sales manager raised the price. He then went back and then came back and began the finance negotiations. I found this odd because this was the job of the Finance Manager.
He said that day there were many representatives in the building. And we were lucky because there was a rep. in the building at this time. This bank that was there agreed to finance our loan if we agreed to another $1850.00 which was to be paid to them. We reluctantly agreed but because of the need for the vehicle we signed the contract. It turned out the bank was [redacted] Financing whom I did call later to find out if the fee was paid We were told by **, then later the finance manager, “You will get the loan and they require you to pay an $1850.00 fee before you can receive the loan ** told us. I am well aware that there are lending institutions that require a fee; I was in the business for 7 years in California. However, **’s words were not “they may require”, his words were “They do require $1850.00 for a fee and we will give you the vehicle” This is what ** told us as we were negotiating the deal. I believe you will see the truth when you get the documentation the deal was penciled on. They have it. I also worked in the back office and you will see that the documentation is there, it has to be it is a legal document. We had to postdate a check because of the fact of the “bank fee”.
I emailed the dealership regarding this matter but received no response, and a year later
I went into Midtown Motors because the situation played heavily on my mind. I was robbed of money
because the color of my partners skin, our sexuality or maybe just because they are crooks;
why does not matter to now; all I know is they stole my money by deceit and plain lies. After no response
internet I went into the dealership to clear things up. With Mr. [redacted] he showed me several other deals that he said, “I am not supposed to show you this” then he shows me where he paid a bank fees on these deals, but not mine, and this is where we pay the bank, in this manor. I ask him where my deal/packet was; he replies “I could not find it at the time”. After no satisfaction I called [redacted] Finance, the representative that handled the area they told me they knew nothing about the fee and they were never there at the time of the deal.
I wanted to pursue this further but my partner, asked me not to pursue it at the time. He feared his truck would be tampered with or something so I agreed to his request. Not we have moved out of the state I am pursuing it again.
Ms. [redacted], if you read in the letter that Mr. [redacted] sent, you will see he did not state “the fee was paid” he states that they said “you may have to pay the fee” he knew we had been told and now is playing on words by trying to deceive us of what was really said. We were told the “fee must be paid and they paid the bank” I think if the paperwork is examined the truth will be know.
The repair on the truck, the reason I brought that to your attention is because we were told that the truck was recently inspected, days before we purchase it, and it was in excellent condition, again, another lie, this truck was a dangerous trap. This was just a way to show the honesty and truthfulness of the Salesmen and his Sales Manager, they weren’t truthful, they lied the entire time.
I want this contract rescinded as soon as possible and I am going to contact Ford Motor Company, the FTC and other state agencies regarding their practices.
The last statement is he would sell me another truck and try to get me 0% finance is such an arrogance of a man and an attitude which dictates dishonesty is beyond words. To think my friends, my family or myself will ever shop another Ford Dealership is only a dream this man can have. I think that if Ford allows theft by deception as this situation has turned out to be they should be shut down or fined.
Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,
[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] came into the dealership on 3/26/2012. He signed a credit application authorizing us to obtain his credit history. He was then given a risk based pricing showing him his credit scores. We then submitted him to 5 banks trying to get the best rates for him based upon his credit...

history.  We received 4 bank turn downs and 1 bank approval. Mr. [redacted] also received letters directly from the bank explaining why they wouldn't approve the loan.  We then explained the interest rate and the payment amount to Mr. [redacted].  The bank required pay stubs for proof of income which had to be brought back later that day.
On April 2nd, Mr. [redacted] notified us of an issue with the left front wheel. We diagnosed the issue and replaced the defective wheel bearing at no charge to them.
We don't discriminate on a basis of race, national origin, religion, sex, nor sexual orientation.
The price agreed to for the truck they purchased was our internet sale price that was listed online as a special at that time.
Approximatly a year later Mr. [redacted] came into speak with me regarding his frustration with the price he paid as well as the interest rate.  I explained to Mr. [redacted] that we don't control the interest rates, it is the banks that tell us the rate to charge based upon credit history of the individual (s) application.  I also explained that in some instances the banks require the dealerships to pay fees to the bank to secure an approval.  At this time Mr. [redacted] informed me he recently received a letter from Chrysler/Dodge corporation for 0% financing. I then explained to him that these letters aren't a firm offer for credit. You still have to submit an application to receive approval for these types of offers.  I then explained to Mr. [redacted] that we were unable to receive an interest rate that low because of his past credit history.
If Mr. [redacted] is willing to come in and fill out another application, I can try and obtain the 0% apr available on select new Fords. However, the 0% apr is based on past credit history. Everybody doesn't qualify for the 0% apr.

Review: I have just realized just how much one needs to know before purchasing a vehicle. I was sold a 2008 Hyundaitiburon before the vehicle this complaint is about. The tiburon was in this ford shop for 3 months of the year that I owned it. Final straw was the engine light coming on. This is when I spoke to a sales member about purchasing my 2008 Mitsubishi eclipse. The Hyundai had fewer then 10000 miles added in one year I had purchased this vehicle for 16000 the dealer stated they would only give me 12000 for it towards the Mitsubishi. Red flag right there. On top of all of this the price of the Mitsubishi was 19000 to begin with. To make things look better at the banking end Midtown Motors added 2000 to each as in the traded Hyundai and the being purchased Mitsubishi. After all was said and done I had financed 23000 on an 08 eclipse which is now worth 8000. Needless to say I still owe 18000. So now I am stuck with a car that is beginning to have major mechanical issues. The warrenty I was talked into has deductables whicj are not horrible however trying to use the warranty requires me to pay for all diagnostic tests. I was told to the tune of at least 600 dollars. The diagnostics are another ford garages quote as I have left the area. I was told that this warranty is good at any ford dealer so I have to believe I would be charged diagnostics even if I went to midtown.Desired Settlement: Best case scenario I am out from under this car completely. I would be fine even with a refund of the difference such as I owe 18499.00 on This car and it is worth 8500. So a refund of 10, 000 and the car be fixed completely for only the 100 deductible with no cost for diagnostics.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from this dealership and when we were dealing with the figures I was told by **, our salesman that the vehicle we wanted was going to be cheaper then what was advertised because it was the last vehicle on the sale. It should have been around 4000.00 less and that is what we offered. **, as a salesman should said that should work, the then took our application for credit. We had a couple late payments but we had a pretty decent score. (the next month I received a 0% financing from Toyota)He said we did not qualify for any financing but we were lucky because there was a person from [redacted] Financing, a high priced finance company. Myself and my partner, an African American male, we are gay and we were taken advantage of because of several iniquity As we were negoationg the deal ** came, told us, we had to pay full price for the vehicle and we also had to pay the lender an extra $1850 in fees. Becasue of thd urgent need for the vehicle we had to agree because we were lead to beleive that this was our only choice and if not we would be with out a vehicle. Our other vehicle had over 195000 miles and was about to run out of it's inspection. Because the lender was there, per **, and because it was our only chance and they requested an extra $1850 we reluctently agreed to pay. I later found out that this was all a ploy to get extra money from us to make a greater profit. I went back to the dealer and spoke to the Sales Manager and he tried to show me paperwork from another deal, not mine that these fees were paid. I told him that I needed proof. This was about 1 year ago. I have not had time to get back on this problem but I am not going to take it futher. We were also told that we had a vehicle that passed inspection recently. After we took possession of the vehicle we found that the Right Front Tire was about to fall off. According to the deal the vehicle was in excellent shape and were no problems. This was a total lie. These individuals stole over $5000Desired Settlement: Recind of Contract. The money was not documented on the contract or anywhere we signed. We were taken advantage and deceived so the company could make a greater profit.
