Tuff Spas is making EVERY effort to be as transparent as possible on this manner Tuff Spas replaced the customers pump at no charge and made notations of the pump differences (for California models) on our website, as this customer requested We have literally done exactly what he asked us to do as we never want any customer to feel misled With reference to the different pump size noted on our website, our pump manufacture introduced a new pump that had similar flow but pulled less amps which we felt would be better for the California market on our smaller models (TTand TT350) Moving forward we will be offering a 1.5HP pump on those models We made this notification on our website as the customer suggested and he still seems not to be satisfied

Tuff Spas does not purposely mislead any customers on our products. This spa was shipped with a pump labeled 1hp (hours power) which was a mistake and we promptly replaced it with a pump labeled 2hp. It is absolutely standard in our industry for pump manufactures to supply the same pump
with different hp labels based on the amperage of the pump. In the pump industry this is called an "uprated or full rated pump". Tuff Spas never modifies the listing on any pump and installs the pump based on the manufactures hp label. In this instance a pump was installed with a 1hp label and was promptly switched with a pump labeled 2hp. Tuff Spas has contacted our pump manufacturer and will make sure all pumps have the proper hp labeling moving forward

In my initial contact with Tuff Spas, both the customer service repand the store manager stated that spa's sent to CA were equipped with less than a H.P pumpFurthermore, if there policy is to equip spas with a HP pump then why did they recently change their web page to reflect that spa's sent to Califwould only be equipped with a H P pump in the future................ They have been asked by the AZ state attorney General to respond to this issue
