We currently have hundreds of members training at each of our three Minneapolis-St Paul area gyms with hundreds of positive testimonials on the internet. Attached is the 12 month Membership Agreement for [redacted]. As you can see, the "12 Monthly Payments" are clearly listed top and center of the agreement. The agreement also states "This authorization is to remain in full force and effect until the total amount of payments are paid in full. Non-attendance in Warrior’s Cove classes, for whatever reason, does not invalidate this agreement." We spent a considerable amount of time working with [redacted] to take care of her numerous requests both before and after she signed up with our gym. Before she decided to join, we provided free 1-on-1 training on two occasions to make sure she understood everything about our training and memberships. This is more than we normally give new members. After she signed up on March 8th 2017 she had additional requests, starting with activating her membership immediately (March 8th) while at the same time delaying her first payment for 9 days. We agreed to this as well. The following week she communicated financial hardships with her Head Instructor, Ben [redacted], so he again arranged another 1-on-1 meeting with her to discuss and accommodate. But then a day after providing her a revised payment plan, she again contacted Mr. [redacted] now claiming that she does not have time to train. So we offered to credit all of her payments while she pauses her training so she can then use all that credited time for when she returns. She then refused this solution as well indicating that she simply does not want to honor the agreement. So we can accommodate as follows... If not being able to train is the problem... We are happy to bank all of her unused training time that she is paying for so she does not miss any of the valuable training she signed up for. She can use it anytime in the future! If financial hardship is the problem... We are happy to reduce current monthly payments to a full 50% off for up to 6 months, and she can train during those months too. Or... We can also do a 50% buy out of the membership agreement if she has simply decided she does not want to honor the agreement. It would help us to know what caused her to change her mind so quickly after taking all of that time to join, as we strive to give each individual a very positive experience at our gyms! I am rejecting this response because: I never made any requests to get the 1-on-1 training nor did I insist on enrolling immediately. I did however feel pressured to take the free trainings as the trainer was quite persistent. Same with enrolling, I felt pressured to do so and again I was unaware it was a year long agreement I was signing. I was never informed that I would be locked into this membership, I was under the impression it was a month to month basis and that the membership was good for 12 months. I would not have signed the agreement had I known I would be locked in. I do not accept the response made by the business because I do not wish to train at their facility nor am I able to do so for a number of reasons, one being that it is simply too much for me to afford, and I am currently enrolled in school and my schedule now conflicts with the days of training, I work during the day and go to school at night and their classes conflict with my schedule. I would just like my agreement to be voided as I did not attend any classes and requested my membership be terminated before the first payment had been taken out.
