Regards,
The only thing that was done differently to my vehicle when brought in was that they flanged the pipes out otherwise the repair is exactly how my husband and his friend temporarily fixed it. As far as the tool needed, I shouldn't have to pay for the tool unless I am being able to keep it. I was charged 374 to flange out a pipe and then the car still leaked coolant. And yes I did come in and complain and they only added more clamps to the pipe which I could have done myself. So I feel I paid way more than the work was worth and when I asked for some reimbursement he told me he couldn't do that because of the tool they had to purchase. As for the [redacted] when he got it back it still was timing off and shaking and it took my husband another entire day to fix it on his own after he was charged 582 to fix the timing and the harmonic balancer when the original charge was only for 65 for the timing

[redacted], Attached are estimates, invoices and supporting documentation for both vehicles. I am reluctant to contact this customer. Please review carefully the documentation. If [redacted] was not happy with her first experience why would she return with a different vehicle? Invoice #[redacted] – 2011...

[redacted] –  Someone had attempted to repair this unsuccessfully before they brought it to us, that is documented. To repair this vehicle properly according to ** you need an expensive part and more labor time. This was presented to the customer and initially approved. When parts arrived from ** it was 2 separate sections that needed a special kit to couple them. Dealer would not warranty because it has a high failure rate. We discussed this with both [redacted] and [redacted] and it was decided to go with the lesser repair. We purchased a special tool to repair the damaged part and secured hose with clamps. The customer opted for this less desirable but cheaper fix. Customer never stated they were unhappy with services received. Note: This repair was signed by [redacted] and insurance documents show they received $1757 to repair the vehicle properly but the customer chose the lesser repair. Invoice #[redacted] – 1987 [redacted] – This vehicle odometer only reads up to 80,045. Likely the mileage is 180,000 or even 280,000 miles. [redacted] states she brought her husbands [redacted] in for timing repair. Note: [redacted] signed both the estimate and the invoice for this repair and she was not present. Customer supplied the recommended damper assembly which is not covered under warranty because it was not purchased by us. The explanation on the paperwork delivered on Friday 1/19 clearly states the exhaust is plugged causing performance issues. We recommend not driving the vehicle do to excessive heat generated from restricted exhaust. This was explained and accepted by the customer. Note: [redacted] signed the estimate and the final invoice. [redacted] did not bring her husbands car in as she stated. [redacted] states we had her [redacted] for nearly 2 weeks. Actually the vehicle was brought in on Wednesday 12/27 at 5:27 pm. We were closed for New Year holiday 30th thru the 1st. Customer picked up the vehicle at 9:44 am Tuesday the 2nd. We had the vehicle for only 2 business days for repair and it could have been picked up Friday the 29th if they chose to.   [redacted] also states we had her [redacted] for 3 days. Vehicle was dropped off Tuesday 1/16 at 4:58 pm. Repairs were recommended and performed Wednesday and Thursday and vehicle was delivered on Friday 1/19 at 11:53 am. A reasonable time frame.   Please let me know if you need any further documentation or clarification. Thank you!   Sincerely, [redacted]
