I am rejecting this response because:
LME is stating that the doors were damaged because of improper packagingBefore I sent the doors I spoke to a representative from LME, She explained to me that I purchased a 4'x4' space in their truck, and the pallet I shipped the doors on measured 4'x4'She told me that as long as no part of the doors protruded passed the edge of the pallet, that would be sufficient for shipping and handling purposesWhich they wereCarol *** argues that the reason these doors were damaged is due to insufficient packaging for the rigors of LME transportationAs you can see they are wrapped in bubble wrap, and shrink wrapped to the pallet, which the representative I spoke to instructed me to do soAs you can clearly see from the attached pictures, the damage done to these doors is obviously not from the rigors of shipping and handlingThe doors were crushed by another package or, as it looks to me, run over by a forkliftI have a lot more pictures than the ones I have attached, I've kept every email LME has sent me, I've done everything I can to comply with their claim process, I have paypal receipts showing the amount of money I sold the doors forAnd as far as Ms*** saying "there is no telling how long Mr*** has owned the doors" I'm unsure why Ms*** is trying to use that as an argumentIf she is insinuating that the doors were already damaged before I shipped them, and all I'm looking for is a free paycheckDon't you think I would have insured the package for way more than it was worth? But as you can see from the pictures, when the doors were crushed the shrink wrapping was also torn open and damaged, which shows that the doors were absolutely damaged in shipping, if you need more proof I have plenty more pictures to send if need beThank you for your help in holding this company accountable for the damage that they have caused
The product was shipped not packaged properly. It is not the responsibility of the carrier to package freight but rather the shipper. Since it was shipped without proper packaging, the carrier can not be held liable for any damages that may occur. LME handled the claim in
accordance to the Carmack Amendment and transportation law. The claim would remain denied and closed and we offer no payment. The doors, in my opinion, could also be "used" in nature since they were purchased from Ebay which is known to sell used items. Even with the lack of proper packaging, LME did return the doors back to Mr*** without any freight charges as a courtesy to help lessen his loss. We didn't have to do this and could have charged him return charges. The invoice for the purchase of the doors doesn't indicate that Mr*** paid for them but rather what he sold them for to *** *** on 11-1-16. The freight shipped on 10-24-17. It is unknown how long Mr*** had the doors before shipping
