Review: On Saturday, April 18, we attempted to pick up a rental truck that we had reserved for the day. The renters in front of us were dealt with harshly by the owner at this location but we were not privy to everything that occurred. We arrived at the pick-up location (Capitol Trail Service Center, 1530 Kirkwood Highway, Newark, DE 19711) at the agreed upon time and began the check in process after waiting for quite some time for the owner to finish reprimanding the renters in front of us. The Owner was checking us in and when he asked for my debit/credit card, I presented my card. The Owner refused to accept the card unless I met his demand of signing the card. The back of my card indicates see id to prevent any type of fraud. I was presenting my license as ID but he refused and slammed a black marker in front of me. Being very conscientious about card fraud, I would not sign my card so he refused to rent to us. We had to go to another rental company to complete our transaction. I asked if he was the owner to which he replied "yes" and slammed his fist on the counter. He was rude and harsh and made me extremely anxious and nervous.Much to my surprise, my card has been charged as a no show for $50. We were not a no show we were on time at the appropriate place but unable to complete our transaction due to the owners demands. I have registered a dispute with my bank but feel that others should know what to expect if they choose to rent from this location.Desired Settlement: have registered a dispute with my credit card company and would like the Revdex.com to pursue with the owner so no one else has to encounter this type of abuse.
