Washington Cemetery

Review: My mother died on May 8, 2013. I made a payment to Washington Cemetery via check #[redacted] on July 4, 2013 to have the final inscription noting her date of death carved into my parents tombstone. The contract stated to allow for 3 months for this final inscription with her date of death to be compelted. Washington Cemetery cashed my checked from July 4 very promptly. It is now over 5 months and the cemetery still has yet to complete this final inscription work. I have spoken to them numerous times and visited their office on Friday, Dec 13. I was told that they sub-contract this work out and that they have no controll over this. I was told that the person doing this work has had workers hurt and off duty and that the weather has been bad. The weather has not been bad for the past 5 months. When I asked for the name of the person (sub-contractor) who is supposed to perform this work, I was told they could not give this information to me. The cemetery showed little concern for this appalling service. This is dis-respectfull to the deceased and surviving family. Any help that you can provide would be much appreciated. I do not want any money returned. I simply want my mother to be respected and her date of death inscribed on her tombstone. This was a service that was paid for some time ago.
