Washington State Employees Credit Union Reviews (1)

Ms *** applied for two loans on October 27th, One was for her residence through our Mortgage department and the second request was for a rental property through our Commercial Loan department. She signed applications and appropriate documents for both loans, including her
authorization to run a credit report. She asked the mortgage loan officer if we could pull just one credit report and share it for both loans, which was acceptable to us. For this residential home loan, she requested we not pull credit until she was approved. This was not possible because the approval is based on information contained in the report, so the loan officer was at an impasse. At the same time, that request was not made of our commercial loan officer, who received the signed documents and financial information Our loan officer, who had ongoing email exchanges with Ms***, asked about her desire to proceed and made the credit inquiry based on the receipt of the documents and her emails. The emails also refer to her credit score. The one credit inquiry report was shared between the loan officers. Both loans were denied. On November 8th and 10th, Ms *** filed a complaint with the Credit Union and subsequently the Revdex.com, concerning the credit inquiry, asking to have it removed from her report. We responded and contact Ms*** immediately on the 10th. This all was explained to her, but she insisted on the credit inquiry removal We contacted our credit report provider, who sent us documents to accomplish that with the credit agencies: Equifax, Trans Union, Experian. We completed our portion of the requests. Ms*** completed her portion. We sent the documents to our credit provider who forwarded the same to the credit reporting agencies. We sent Ms*** verification of this action on December 12th, 2016. Ms *** contacted us March 20th, 2017, inquiring why the inquiry had not been removed from the Trans Union report. We immediately contacted our credit provider who reached back out to the three providers. We were not able to confirm or deny which agency may or may not have removed the inquiry because we would have to make another inquiry to do so. The credit bureaus notified our provider that they are reluctant to remove any inquiry which appears to be authorized. We will continue to follto support the removal request, but the final decision rests with the credit reporting agencies We will also follwith Ms***
