Thereally was no problem with the latch, which was secured and closed on the vehicle. The brushes grabbed the top of the cover and ripped it off, causing one of the plastic tabs on the inside of the cover to break. There was no previous damage to the cover, the latch, or the plastic tabs before entering the car wash. As multiple online reviews testify, the brushes are strong enough to bend vehicle license plates so they are certainly strong enough to rip of a plastic cover.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I also would like to point out however, that contradictory to the business' claims, I do not recall signing any contract nor was given any copy of the policies regarding the unlimited car wash program. If I did sign a contract, I  was not given a copy of that. In the future, Washman may wish to better train their employees and ensure 100% that anyone signing up for this program is completely aware of the subscription and cancellation policies. While I am happy that we finally came to a resolution, it is incredibly frustrating that it took a back and forth via email, a chargeback attempt through dispute with my bank, and finally a Revdex.com complaint to get refunded for a month of service that I did not use. I am sure all of this combined effort of my personal time and employee hours wasted on the matter far exceeds the $30 that was disputed. But I am thankful for Washman for doing the right thing here. We have washed hundreds of RAV4 vehicles without incident. The spre tire cover is designed in such a manner that the latch needs to be undone to remove it. There is no equipment in the wash that would unlatch your spare tire cover. In order for the spare tire cover to come off the vehicle the latch...

We believe that the latch was eiter not secured properly or suffered previous damage. This is the reason we have denied the claim and continue to deny the claim.

When any of our guest's sign up for the unlimited wash program all of our associates are instructed to explain the program in detail. Not only does the customer provide us with their signature but they are also instructed to read what they are signing. The guest is then given a...

copy of all policies regarding the unlimited wash program. Since you signed the contract we assumed you have read and understood the terms and conditions. As you stated in your letter "Saying my card would be charged every month on the same date" which lead us to believe you understood how the unlimited wash programs works.

The claim was denied because of an after market part (in this case a trailer hitch). We have a sign at the entrance of the car ash tunnel that reads in part "Car wash not responsible for damage caused by the following" "Non factory items".
