I contacted Cox Communications on October 15, and talked to a Jose I advised I was interested in switching from Centurylink to Cox I asked him if Cox had 4k programming and he advised that they did I asked him for a price and he quoted a price I asked him if that included taxes and he said in did So, I agreed to make the switch However, when I received my first bill from Cox it was $higher than quoted and when calling Cox they said that what I was quoted did not include tax So, I was lied to from the get go I also found out the Cox DID NOT have 4k programming Another lie I, on several occasions, tried to work with Cox on programming and pricing but they would not work with me I want to add that the installation took over hours and another tech had to come out because the home phone did not work correctly (another hours) So recently, I switched to Direct TV and AT&T Now Cox has the audacity to charge me a disconnect fee because they say I had made a 24-month commitment I might add their commercials say there are no contracts with Cox This is not right I was misled and lied to from the beginning and now they want to charge me an additional fee Considering all the lies and the amount of time a wasted for their so-called techs to install the service, they should be sending me a refund rather than charging me additional costs Prior to a couple of years ago, we had Cox for over years and they were always cooperative However, as far as we are concerned their service has greatly declined and some of their agents are down right rude Stay away from Cox if you can help it!!

I have always enjoyed my service with Cox up until my last accountI had to cancel my service due to moving to an area they didn't have serviceAfter canceling I was told I would receive a refund since I had prepaid for a monthNot only did I not receive the refund but I received a bill months later for over $They are claiming that I never turned in a routerI NEVER had a router from themI purchased my own router from Wal-Mart for $If I had one from them I would have given it backThey were not helpful at allI just kept getting the statement of "my back office says you had one" They send me a letter threating to send me to collections so I went ahead and paid because I do not want my credit damaged because of an $bill but I will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN after the lack of customer service and help from them

The absolute worst company for home services
You will not receive service equal to what you pay for
They will not service equipment they place in your home
The service techs will not honor the appointment to make a service call to your home
The techs will write a report saying they called and came by when they never did
After countless calls and emails telling them that your service is not working they will tell you they checked it from their office and it is working fine and will not help you to resolve the issue
This company has gotten so big they don't care to lose one or even a few customers
Your satisfaction with the service provided doesn't matter to them
