Waste Connections of Colorado Springs

I have called 7 times and only got the recording that you would call me back and you never have. Last week my trash was not picked up and this is the fourth time in the last three months you have missed me. I have been a customer of yours for twenty years and had not had this nonservice before. Therefore I am cancelling my nonservice as of the 14th of June and please pick up your container.

I signed up with Waste Connection for service to start October 1, The first week, with the pickup day on Wednesday, the trash was picked upThere was no pickup for the next three weeks, even though the company was called each Wednesday and they promised a pickup the next weekAfter three weeks and no pickup, finally got a pickup the following day after their route was finishedPickup again due today, 11/4, but no serviceNot sure how such service can be allowed to continue, they either need to perform or refund the month payment that was madeCannot get in contact with any management for the company, just an answering service

This company locks you into a year auto renewing contract that can only be cancelled in a to prior to renewal window, under stiff (and bogus) penalties of "liquid damages" ( like they can't put their dumpster somewhere else??)meanwhile they are allowed to hike prices (now double from when I started with them!) Imagine if your cell phone company or anyone did that !! Seems their must be some statute of limitations or consumer protection statue against such a contractShop around [redacted] is half the cost and only a month contract

On November 14, (approximate date) we began the process of trying to communicate with this company At that point we had so many "missed" pickups that we were fed up calling and complaining and had decided to cancel our service
Over phones calls were made to the company Most of those calls were answered by an answering machine or service with no returned callsNo one ever called back
On each message that I left, I requested that our service be cancelled and that the trash and recycle containers be picked up
In mid December I got through to an employee in Pueblo who said they were answering the phones for Colorado Springs
Yesterday (Feb25, 2016) we finally reached someone who agreed to send us our refund We will await our refund check but are extremely ticked off at this company

We have been with Waste Connections for a while nowThey are the best company we've ever hadWe even forgot to put out our tote one week and they came and emptied for us anyway! Very Nice! They don't go raging though our neighborhood like other companies of which there are many :( For the bang for your buck, pick Waste Connections :)

This company locks you into a 3 year auto renewing contract that can only be cancelled in a 60 to 180 prior to renewal window, under stiff (and bogus) penalties of "liquid damages" ( like they can't put their dumpster somewhere else??).. meanwhile they are allowed to hike prices (now double from when I started with them!) Imagine if your cell phone company or anyone did that !! Seems their must be some statute of limitations or consumer protection statue against such a contract... Shop around.. [redacted] is half the cost and only a 6 month contract.
