Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: The office manager set the tone of the visitMy daughter and I went in with a good attitude and just wanted to get our prescriptions and leaveWe were treated with hostility and disdain because we did not want to make an appointmentAfter we arrived, an African American woman came in as a walk in appointment and was treated as poorly as we wereThe other clients in the waiting room were all whiteThe staff had no problem waiting on the white clientsThey told the African American woman that they did not have an appointment available and she could wait, but they did not guarantee she would be seenThey also did not bother looking up to address her and were extremely dismissive towards herThe staff did not release my prescription as per their responseAs far as the business not being part of Walmart, they rent space from Walmart; therefore, Walmart is ultimately responsible for their actionsJust because they say they have never had a problem with race in the past doesn't mean they haven't had one; it means no one has publicly confronted them on it Sincerely, [redacted] [redacted]

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to respond. Ms. [redacted] and her daughter came into out office 2/11/16 requesting a last name change. We did this for them and as they were leaving asked for a copy of their prescription. Ms. [redacted]'s prescription was current so we released it to her. We...

informed her daughter her prescription was expired by more than 3 months. I offered her an appointment that day, so she would be given a new prescription and a pair of contact lens. The daughter used profanity and stormed out.1-800-contacts called asking for a refill to get her by until an appointment could be made. I explained to the rep. an appointment was offered that day and the daughter stormed out after using profanity. The rep. understood and thanked me. I had not heard anything from the patient until I was notified she had contacted Wal-Mart with a complaint. We are not part of Wal-Mart we just rent space. She was told by them that we had followed the correct procedure and did nothing wrong. Now we are hearing from Revdex.com. I find their statement to be incorrect I was not rude. I spoke directly to them and did look them in the eye and explained everything to them in a professional and courteous voice. We are a minority owned business and have never had any issue with race in the past.
