Monster Transmission = Monster Mistake I have purchased transmissions complete and parts to rebuild another The first of the complete transmissions hit two gears at once on the freeway Monster Catastrophe! Monster transmission will not pay for repairs locally, they will not ship a replacement until they see the old oneI can show them a report from a local trans shop that said there was next to nothing we could do to cause the problemDoes that matter??? Not to monster transmissionI have now been without a transmission or car, for days - not a word The fact the car is not running means nothing to them They claim they have a no finger pointing warrantyONLY IF NOTHING HAPPENS then you are on your own - good luck getting them to honor their warranty So here I sit I cannot file a complaint because they are still in the warranty phase for however long that takes I had to pay for shipping both ways and they still won't ship the new trans until they can make up a good reason why it is not warranty, Do not - really do not buy a transmission from these people I have to admit I had no issues with them and was a return customerNow that I have an issue, a whole different cow

Where do I beginMy dad recommended this company and their transmissions to me around a couple years backI wish I had a time machine and I could go back to tell him it was the worst advice I bought a 700rtrans two winters ago, I had just installed my transmission and It was awesome, I was on the road, beasting it with 40'' mud tires and an 11'' liftThen I guess the torque converter bolts came loose and the torque converter neck busted in piecesI was mad angry, a big snow storm even hit and I missed all the fun in my truckI sent the entire transmission back on my dad's word......over a busted torque converterWish I could have gone back again and told him he had the worst advice After the snow storms were over and it started getting respectable outside again I finally received my completely rebuilt transmission at no cost (except the $shipping bill of course!) Put it back in, and I was back on the road beasting it again! Yet monster trans wasn't kind to me and my transmission started to leak fluid EVERYWHERE not even 2-thousand miles laterIt was literally pouring outSo took out the transmission again and put pressure to the torque converter.....then behold the weld/seal on the neck had an invisible crack in it somewhere( I installed correctly this time) So I called monster transmission back luckily they are all about building relationships by selling junk parts so you call a lot I was actually pleased though that they were kind enough to send a free torque converter, as long as I shipped the cracked one back at my expenseSo I didI received a new lime green converter by the end of the week In no time at all I was back on the road beasting it again! WOOO YEA!!! Yet things never seem to last these days and during my summer commute to work I started to have transmission problems again! Yay! I guess 4th gear was gone and whenever my trans would shift to a new gear.....If I let off the gas at all it would downshiftThis lasted about a week before I went up a hill and the trans completely went......not even 1,miles later from installation point.SighThey just don't make things like they used to anymore you know? I think those are the only three times something has happened to the trans......I thought I ended up taking it in and pulling it out at least one more time....but I can't think of the reason at this pointWhateverone time was enough anyway I mean honestly monster transmission seems pretty fair as long as you pay the hefty shipping billsHowever don't expect quality.......anything reallyI know the first time was my fault I take blame for that one, even though I blamed monster trans, It's hard to cope when you put so much time and money into something like this and it just fails over and over in front of you I'm completely done with monster transmissionIt's because of this company that I don't trust my dad's word like I used to and sometimes it kind of hurts our relationship a bitI do what I think is good and he shakes his head and says I'm wrong.....but at least I don't blame him if something goes wrong you know? This is a completely honest review and Unfortunately it's not in Monster trans favorI loved my truck to death, I enjoyed every minute I was able to drive itNow I just want to get a trans in it and sell it so I don't have to worry about it anymore Save yourself some time and money......go with something elseI would honestly buy a trans that comes from your vehicle manufacturerThat way if something does go wrong with it just take it to the dealership and they take care of everything for freeNo headache and no time wasted putting it in and pulling it outMight be a little little bit more expensive, but I swear it's worth the headache alone Don't buy and if you do.......can't say I didn't warn ya

Contacted Monster Customer Service for Warranty RepairHave not been given timely responses in order to file the repair under warrantyThey were completely unreasonable, not accepting a quote sent from the original installer, telling me the quote was fabricatedI told them they were more than welcome to call them and also provided the original work invoice when the transmission was first installed after they delivered Still tried to contact them several times to get issue resolved only to be hung up on, put on hold for long periods of time, calls blocked, emails not responded too, poor customer service, no escalation to SupervisorsThey are providing zero help at this point because the have completely shut off all communication avenues and have not responded to my question and messages previously sentWARNING BEWARE OF THESE MONSTERS!!!!....Please read all the threads online and you will clearly see that they have the worst customer service and they DO NOT respect the customer's time and effort in dealing with themThey are not proactive, plan on spending a lot of time waiting on them to response or pick up the call on hold

Monster transmission is the best company ive ever dealt with! They made it a ease for purchasing, had professional answers to what transmission best suited my carMonster transmission had a excellent webpage that gave consumers lots of information on what products they provide, and videos of testing and showing the process of the trans from start to finish made the customer feel that they will be getting a true quality built transmissionWhen I received my transmission for my ss which has 600hp I was in awwwGreat packaging, great brandnew look! This transmission truely put the power to the ground, great shifts, made my car feel brand new! Gives you the confidence that you can drive anywhere without issues! I recommend a monster transmission to anyone I speak with, you handshake warranty make any customer feel you have their back! Thanks again for a great product

Quite frankly the worst business I have ever dealt with. The shipping times stated on their website are completely falseI called weekly after the stated delivery time was overEach time I was promised a call back with my order statusNever received a call backAfter waiting for weeks I received the wrong part.Have called three times trying to get resolution
Back into the same circular conversation No answer on a ship date and no return calls as promisedAt this point I am out $with no resolution in sight

I purchased a 4r70w transmission on March 22nd with a quoted build time of weeksMonths and dozens of calls later I finally received my transmission Well, someone''s transmission Monster built a transmission with the incorrect wiring, soenoids, sensors, etcLong story short it was completely useless to meFor months I went back and forth with monsterThey claimed I must have damaged the transmission during installationI finally started the process of filing a charge back through my card issuer This pronoted monster to pay a shop to rebuild the transmission and install the proper partsAfter the work was done Daniel, the warranty supervisor, attempted to stiff the tray shop that fixed their mess
In summary, six months wasted with nothing but a terribly shifting tranny to show for it

Monster Transmission = Monster Mistake.
I have purchased 2 transmissions complete and parts to rebuild another.
The first of the complete transmissions hit two gears at once on the freeway. Monster Catastrophe! Monster transmission will not pay for repairs locally, they will not ship a replacement until they see the old one. I can show them a report from a local trans shop that said there was next to nothing we could do to cause the problem. Does that matter??? Not to monster transmission. I have now been without a transmission or car, for 10 days - not a word. The fact the car is not running means nothing to them. They claim they have a no finger pointing warranty. ONLY IF NOTHING HAPPENS then you are on your own - good luck getting them to honor their warranty.
So here I sit I cannot file a complaint because they are still in the warranty phase for however long that takes.
I had to pay for shipping both ways and they still won't ship the new trans until they can make up a good reason why it is not warranty,
Do not - really do not buy a transmission from these people.
I have to admit I had no issues with them and was a return customer. Now that I have an issue, a whole different cow.

Where do I begin..... My dad recommended this company and their transmissions to me around a couple years back. I wish I had a time machine and I could go back to tell him it was the worst advice.

I bought a 700r4 trans two winters ago, I had just installed my transmission and It was awesome, I was on the road, beasting it with 40'' mud tires and an 11'' lift. Then I guess the torque converter bolts came loose and the torque converter neck busted in pieces. I was mad angry, a big snow storm even hit and I missed all the fun in my truck. I sent the entire transmission back on my dad's word......over a busted torque converter. Wish I could have gone back again and told him he had the worst advice.

After the snow storms were over and it started getting respectable outside again I finally received my completely rebuilt transmission at no cost (except the $250 shipping bill of course!) Put it back in, and I was back on the road beasting it again! Yet monster trans wasn't kind to me and my transmission started to leak fluid EVERYWHERE not even 2-3 thousand miles later. It was literally pouring out. So took out the transmission again and put pressure to the torque converter.....then behold the weld/seal on the neck had an invisible crack in it somewhere. ( I installed correctly this time) So I called monster transmission back luckily they are all about building relationships by selling junk parts so you call a lot. I was actually pleased though that they were kind enough to send a free torque converter, as long as I shipped the cracked one back at my expense. So I did. I received a new lime green converter by the end of the week.

In no time at all I was back on the road beasting it again! WOOO YEA!!! Yet things never seem to last these days and during my summer commute to work I started to have transmission problems again! Yay! I guess 4th gear was gone and whenever my trans would shift to a new gear.....If I let off the gas at all it would downshift. This lasted about a week before I went up a hill and the trans completely went......not even 1,000 miles later from installation point.Sigh. They just don't make things like they used to anymore you know?

I think those are the only three times something has happened to the trans......I thought I ended up taking it in and pulling it out at least one more time....but I can't think of the reason at this point. Whatever..... one time was enough anyway.

I mean honestly monster transmission seems pretty fair as long as you pay the hefty shipping bills. However don't expect quality.......anything really. I know the first time was my fault I take blame for that one, even though I blamed monster trans, It's hard to cope when you put so much time and money into something like this and it just fails over and over in front of you.

I'm completely done with monster transmission. It's because of this company that I don't trust my dad's word like I used to and sometimes it kind of hurts our relationship a bit. I do what I think is good and he shakes his head and says I'm wrong.....but at least I don't blame him if something goes wrong you know?

This is a completely honest review and Unfortunately it's not in Monster trans favor. I loved my truck to death, I enjoyed every minute I was able to drive it. Now I just want to get a trans in it and sell it so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Save yourself some time and money......go with something else. I would honestly buy a trans that comes from your vehicle manufacturer. That way if something does go wrong with it just take it to the dealership and they take care of everything for free. No headache and no time wasted putting it in and pulling it out. Might be a little little bit more expensive, but I swear it's worth the headache alone.

Don't buy and if you do.......can't say I didn't warn ya.

Every company can make big claims about their product and their warranty. But Hand Shake means Hand Shake with Monster. Everyone makes mistakes we are all human after a premature failure on our transmission (and I am about 75% sure it was my fault but there was no finger pointing just get it to us and we will make it right. 13 days total I had my transmission back (and living in Texas 7 days of the 13 it was on the road 4 there and 3 back) but I want to stress is that anybody can claim anything but Great People and Great Companies do what they say no questions asked. All my Transmissions will be Monster for now on and all the other Transmission Companies can Eat My Shift!

I assume the sales people answering the phone are only out to make a buck, Horrible communications. Was told I was being a refundable $375 core deposit. Once the core transmission was received I would be refunded the $375. Called in today, 9-8-2016, to see when I could expect my core refund. Core was excepted on the 26th of August. The salesman today said what I paid for was core return shipping and there's nothing he can do. I explained what I was told and he just reiterated that I didn't pay for a core charge, but a core return fee and it was discounted at that. Had I known that's what I was paying, Id had shipped it myself. This is also for a customer. I did not charge him the $375 for a core since I thought it was getting refunded. So I am out $375 since it wouldn't look good on me to say oh, my sales rep was horrible at explaining things so now I need to charge you another $375. I had even asked the original rep if I could go ahead and send the core in so I could get the refund sooner and he said just wait until I got the new trans in and was happy...

Note, I did go and look online to "place an order" after getting off the phone today. What the rep said today is accurate. However, I did not do this prior to placing my order over the phone. Had I done that...I'd charged my customer appropriately and arranged my own shipping. $375 return shipping is just high anyways. I can have trucks shipped there for not much more. Never doing business there again. I just have to hope I don't have any issues with my transmission. Wish I had read Revdex.com sooner

Looking into rebuilding my truck trans. Found Monster via the net & recognized them from some car/truck shows. Watched the vids. Read the info. Stopped in while I was in the area, 1200 miles from home. Asked some questions. Got great response as though I was an important customer. Got an in depth tour of the facility & every question that developed, answered to great satisfaction. Will most definitely use their kit to re-do my trans. Josh even supplied additional info on how-to vids & other info source. Class operation. Great ambassadors to local community fund raising for charities. Toys for Tots, etc. Check them out.

I ordered a transfer case for a 2001 silverado 2500. Great product and service.

BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS! There is a reason that this business has an F rating here. Do not fall for the flashy website. Save yourself a ton of aggravation and do your homework before sending off any of your hard earned dollars to these people. Do not expect to receive your transmission when or how it is promised. Do not expect to receive any return phone calls as promised. My only hope now is that my trans lasts long enough that I make it out of the warranty period so that I never have to deal with these people again.

Contacted Monster Customer Service for Warranty Repair. Have not been given timely responses in order to file the repair under warranty. They were completely unreasonable, not accepting a quote sent from the original installer, telling me the quote was fabricated. I told them they were more than welcome to call them and also provided the original work invoice when the transmission was first installed after they delivered. Still tried to contact them several times to get issue resolved only to be hung up on, put on hold for long periods of time, calls blocked, emails not responded too, poor customer service, no escalation to Supervisors. They are providing zero help at this point because the have completely shut off all communication avenues and have not responded to my question and messages previously sent. WARNING BEWARE OF THESE MONSTERS!!!!....Please read all the threads online and you will clearly see that they have the worst customer service and they DO NOT respect the customer's time and effort in dealing with them. They are not proactive, plan on spending a lot of time waiting on them to response or pick up the call on hold.

While other companies give you poor servicew and modifi parts that don't work like Preformance Automotive Transmission Center, Monster Transmissions has been great in supplying my needs and have been extremely helpful getting the proper transmission for my 02 Checy Avalanche. I would recommend this company to all my friends and family.
