Review: On 11/22/14, I went with my wife,my elderly Motherinlaw (age 83 yrs) to the [redacted]. We had to wait to be called up for the dinner meal, we were the last table called up, table (9).What happen next was that the dinner meal was all taken, by the people that went up before us! The dinner trays of food were empty, My wife ask the waitress if any additional food trays be refilled for the last table that was called up for the dinner portion of the night outing event. The waistress was very rude to her and when she asked for the (manager) nobody responded to her request? My wife and my elderly Motherinlaw just stood by the tables of empty trays, no additional food ever came. We all went back to the table to eat what ever was left for us to eat.Now it was getting late and the show was about to start, We were not even able to finish the left overs, from the empty trays. The cost of the event was over $180.00 dollars ?I have called the front desk of the (wateredge) and left [redacted] the manager a word or two. No one ever called me back ,or responded to a e-mail.This place has no concern's to people that have save money to go out for a event. I have waited almost two months for watersedge to make good over this!So can you please help me with this. I work very hard for my money , and I did not get serve with a nice dinner that other people enjoyed. Thank -You [redacted]Desired Settlement: Can I please have a refund, or 3 tickets for the next show..

Review: I recently received an email regarding current specials the resort was offering. One in particular I was interested in was the Spa Breakaway Package. The special stated "Luxurious Room for Two (Sunday-Thur) Spa treatment including Massage, Facial, or Spa Manicure and Pedicure, offer subject to availability and excludes holidays". I called to book two rooms for 4 people. The front desk was very accommodating and booked my rooms and then transferred me to the spa to book the spa treatments. It wasn't until then that I was informed that the package was only good for one person for a spa treatment. No where in the email did it state that the spa service was only good for one person.

I cancelled my reservation and immediately emailed the resort. After 4 days of not receiving a reply, I emailed them again. I got a phone call from the spa manager who offered to give us all the spa services but we had already made other plans. The date I booked was for the Sunday before MLK day, because I have that Monday off. I told him that we had booked somewhere else and that there were no other available dates that would work for us during the time that the special is offered. I was apologized too and that was it.Desired Settlement: A gift certificate would have been nice to use in the future. Instead they lost 4 customers who booked elsewhere for a day at the spa!!! Also change the email the advertisement that was emailed to all their customers on their email list.

Response:

Thank you, we always appreciate the comments by our customers and this inquiry is no exception. The Spa Breakaway Package is designed for those who want to visit the resort and sample the offerings on the property. In most cases where two people are traveling together, one guest usually will utilize the spa while the other guest prefers relaxing around the pool or finding some alone time for themselves. This package was created for this experience and the details of the package reflect the offerings. In terms of this inquiry, in the interest of pleasing the guest, and providing the best customer service possible, our Spa Director made an exception to the parameters of the package, but

Review: My husband and I arrived at Water's Edge Resort on September 14th at approximately 8:15 PM. We had traveled by train from ** to enjoy our HONEYMOON. Our travel agent had said to call 15 minutes prior to the train arriving because the resort said they would have someone to pick us up. I called Water's Edge as I was suppose to and I got a snippy reply of "nope" and then silence until I asked for a possible taxi number. The girl gave me the number and hung up. We eventually found a taxi service to pick us up. When we arrived to Water's Edge we were asked to give the credit card that we checked in with. We had been told that we would not have to pay until the end of our stay incase we wanted to add additional items. When we handed the girl our credit card she quickly ran it through and said it was denied. We knew that our card was ok but we handed her another one. She also said it was denied. We then handed her our debit card which was also ok, and it was also "denied". After calling the credit card companys and them saying our cards were fine, we then asked if we could us a family members card. She quickly said we needed to fill out a form. So the person who offered to pay called to discuss the form and was rudly hung up on by the attendent and was told that form offer was off the table. Needless to say, our last resort was a check and that also did not suffice the woman behind the counter. As I mentioned before this was our honeymoon, we had traveled all day, and brought little cash since we were traveling. The attendent never once offered for us to just say for one night until we got this figured out or anything. She was rude and not accommadating what so ever. They had no empathy for our situation. I thought it was awful customer service, and down right rude. We did not have a car so we had to call the taxi service again, and go to another hotel down the road that only had one room for that night. We ended up having to switch our train tickets to go home from Friday to Tuesday since we did not have a place to stay, which cost us additional money. This RUINED our honeymoon. I will never return to Water's Edge Resort. Who's to say they wouldnt do this again? Did they over book? Were we not of high enought class for them? IDesired Settlement: I would like our taxi fares which come to about 50 dollars to be paid and for our hotel for the night which was 100.00 to be paid. They should have offered to put us up somewhere if they did not have the room.

Review: I went on saturday to this SPa after I purschased a package deal for three services " Girlfriends Package for $225.00 on-line. The e-mail confirmation stated that 18% gratuity will be added to your final bill. I was charged way over the 18 % gratuity to my credit care at checkout.I did up grade a service so my bill came out to $260.00.An 18% gratuity would have been 46.80 but I was charged $54.90.My sale tax was $10.96 for a total bill of $325.86My Bill should have been $317.76I called the facility today and was told my gratuity was charged at the induivial price of each service before it was discounted in the Girlfriend's Package price.I am a bit confused by this charge. I was not aware you have to give a tip on a cost you did not pay. Also what gives them the right to put the % of tip on this service?Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for this over charge on my credit card.I would also like to see the law that states an 18% gratuity is mandatory for spa service.
