Waterbury Towing & Recovery Reviews (2)

Review: They towed my truck from a lot in which it was legally parked. They claimed that they couldn't see the parking pass. They had an attendant walk me over to the truck the next morning to show them the pass which was in the drivers side corner of the dash. He then stated that he had to speak with his boss. The boss came out 20 minutes later and asked for 120+ dollars. The boss then made three ridiculous statements about my pass not being visible, First he claimed that I moved it from the center console when I opened the door then he said it still had the paper backing on it (window sticker with adhesive up)! Lastly he stated that I could not have had my window changed because they placed the [redacted] nylon sticker back in the upper corner and the sticker listed the year as 00. So he concluded that the sticker had to be on the window since 2000. So this sticker was placed on the window 9 years before the car was made? (real genius here). [redacted] didn't even start making the ridgeline models until 2006. He claimed to have a video of this and when I asked to see this so called video he stated that I would have to take him to court to get a copy. They are Extortionist! the lot was 0.7 miles from the Company.Desired Settlement: Refund me the $123.37 fee for unjustly towing my truck to your facility and charging even after the owner called you and verified the truck has a legal sticker prior to me coming down to pick it up.

Review: I am a current resident at [redacted] drive apt [redacted] Our complex requires a parking sticker to allow for enough tenant parking. On 12/21/13 I had me vehicle serviced and was given a loaner car. I parked my loaner car in the parking lot where I reside. I contacted my property manager for a temporary parking sticker and he stated he was out of town and no one was in the office to give me a sticker and it should not be a problem. My car was in fact towed 12/31/13 and when I contacted Waterbury towing and recovery I was told it didn't matter if I was a resident my car was to be towed. I contacted my property manager and asked if he authorized the tow and he stated he had not. I did not authorize the tow. I asked why my car was towed from private property without authority and was told by the tow truck operator that there was not a parking sticker on my car, I explained it was ok per the property manager and the conversation turned into a never ending argument. When I went to pick up my car there was not a sign posted to show Maximum towing charges as required by state law and a male associate proceeded to make nasty comments about me from behind a wall after I made a complaint of him trying to tow my neighbors car and when she begged him not to she was told to give him $25.00 cash and he would leave her alone. I told him that was a bribe and I would call police if he did not leave our property, which he did. Then several days later this same associate came back for retaliation and towed my car without authority from the property manager.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the entire amount I was charged: $97.24
