The latest shout out goes to Ashley over there, who demonstratively took the lead in getting a replacement door part under warranty, when the original (unmentioned) installation team left a neighbour of mine, quite literally, hanging in the breeze. I couldn't / wouldn't stand for that kind of injustice. Ashley and the team stepped up and went to bat for us. The broken unit was replaced under warranty and I will be working to recover the initial incurred costs to make for an even better Christmas for my neighbour and her 3 kids. Thanx Team Wloo Garage Doors!
Very professional people stand behind there work one hundred percent .some manfactors don't stand behind there product.

We had overhead doors installed at our building The doors installed were made by Garaga and were commercial doors After about a year, the doors were swelling in certain areas Waterloo Garage doors said no problem they would replace the panels that were swelling They then sent us a large bill even though we were not told that the labour to replace the panels was not included in the warranty We were then shown a warranty from a residential door even though we had purchased commercial doors and in the very small fine print it said they would not recommend dark colours in a southwest or south or southeast facing area Imagine our surprise to find out our doors were not designed to withstand sunlight! After asking Waterloo Garage Doors to have the manufacturer contact us about the charge to replace the panels we were ignored and months later received another bill with interest of 10% per month added on to the bill This rate exceeds the usury laws of Canada I would recommend if you want a garage door, make sure it will be able to withstand sunlight and will receive a proper warranty

The doors were originally installed in October 2013. We received a call on Sept 1, 2016 that there was some swelling on some of the sections, WGD inspected and reported to the manufacturer, ***, and the sections in question were replaced on Oct 31 and Nov 9, 2016. An invoice for 5-1/2 hours of labour only was issued, which remained outstanding until earlier this month.
Our labour is warrantied for a period of 1 year, after which time the manufacturer's warranty applies.the customer was unfortunately given a copy of the residential warranty, which does not apply here. A copy of the commercial warranty ***, as provided by ***. Had the doors not been covered under warranty, then *** would not have replaced them under warranty! Furthermore, all sections were replaced a no cost from Garag, in spite of the fact that their warranty stipulates pro-rata replacement after the first year (attached below). We do apologize for our part, that the residential warranty was sent and gave a confusing message.
This complaint is misdirected, with all due respect. WGD has been very reasonable in billing time on site only for repairs. The sections were replaced by the manufacturer.
We respectfully ask that this complaint be withdrawn against WGD, as we have not been negligent, nor have we billed excessively for anything.

repaired or replaced is also guaranteed, but only
for the remainder time period of the initial warranty

GENERAL LIMITED WARRANTY
*** warrants that its garage doors (panels)
will be free from defects in workmanship and
material for a period of ten (10) years from the
date of purchase from *** or an authorized
*** distributor on the following products: G-
1000, G-2020/G-2023/G-2323, G-5000, G-5200,
G-5138 and TG-6200. Products TG-8024/8524
are one (1) year.
*** warrants that any part of hardware and
accessories will be free from defects in
workmanship and material for one (1) year from
the date of purchase from *** or an
authorized *** distributor.
WARRANTY AGAINST DELAMINATION
*** warrants its garage doors (panels)
against delamination of the polyurethane foam
from the metal facing (steel or aluminum) for a
period of ten (10) years from the date of
manufacturing.
GENERAL Conditions
When purchasing a *** product, the buyer
accepts the present warranty and recognizes it as
being the only official warranty, thereby excluding
any other representation, warranty or conditions,
whether written or implied, offered by whomever,
except if stated in writing by a ***
authorized agent.
The warranty offers full coverage for the first year,
with an annual decrease of the coverage based
on the pro-rata of the elapsed number of years
against the number of years of the particular
warranty after that. The value of the warranty is
calculated on the selling price paid by the
authorized distributor at the date of the claim.
These warranties are subject to the following
restrictions:
- the product has not been modified;
- the material has been used under normal
operating conditions;
- the product has been properly installed,
subject to an inspection by an authorized
*** agent.
This warranty extends only to the original
purchaser of the product and is not transferable.
ORIGINAL
When I last spoke to Waterloo Garage Doors, and I agreed to pay for the installation charges of the replacement panels, even though I felt that the charge should have been covered under warranty, I was promised by the owner to have Garaga contact me directly to discuss my complaint about the garage doors. I sent the cheque to WGD, and guess what? I have received no contact at all from Garaga or WGD regarding my complaints about the doors. I guess now they have received payment for the installation charges of the replacement panels they don't need to follow up any more to make sure we are satisfied.
