I received the gun stock for repair from the Client in two piecesI epoxied the twopieces together and they fitted perfectlyI then used electrical tape to hold thetwo pieces until they driedWhen I removed the tape a chemical reaction messed upthe finish where the tape was.The Client said he had
started to drill a hole to put in a nail for reinformnent, and the hole ended up crookedThat's when he decided to have someone fix itforhimI then drilled into the same hole deeper and inserted a penny nail.butnot having the screw and not knowing how long it was, I left it approximately 3/4to inch deepI guess I should have called the Client to get the exact measurementof the screwWhen the Client came to pick up the gun stock and saw the hole, thatis when he said the screw that went into the hole was 1/inches long.He was very upset and as he left he said he wasn't going to pay for the repairand I told him I was not going to charge him anything. He sent me an e-mail on August 13, saying that this was a brand new, unfireddisplay piece and that I had ruined itHe sent in that e-mail the web site forme to order and pay for him a new one at the cost of $plus taxes and shipping.(If this was a brand new one to begin with, yet he stated to me that it had beendamaged in shipping, why didn't he return it for a new one then?)He had also stated in that e-mail that he hadn't reported to the Revdex.com and wantedto keep this complaint just between usOur e-mail had been down for a few daysand we didn't see it until Aug16, and e-mailed him back on the 16thand askedhim to bring it back so I could redo itI do not feel that I owe him a brand newoneThen I received this from the Revdex.com about the complaint. This is what I can doI can fill the hole with epoxy and when dry can redrillthe hole for a shorter screwThe stock can be stripped and refinished at no costto the Client.*** ***WaterOak Furniture Repair

I received the gun stock for repair from the Client in two pieces. I epoxied the twopieces together and they fitted perfectly. I then used electrical tape to hold thetwo pieces until they dried. When I removed the tape a chemical reaction messed upthe finish where the tape was.The Client said he had started to drill a hole to put in a nail for reinformnent, and the hole ended up crooked. That's when he decided to have someone fix itforhim. I then drilled into the same hole deeper and inserted a 16 penny nail. . .butnot having the screw and not knowing how long it was, I left it approximately 3/4to 1 inch deep. I guess I should have called the Client to get the exact measurementof the screw. When the Client came to pick up the gun stock and saw the hole, thatis when he said the screw that went into the hole was 1 1/2 inches long.He was very upset and as he left he said he wasn't going to pay for the repairand I told him I was not going to charge him anything. He sent me an e-mail on August 13, 2015 saying that this was a brand new, unfireddisplay piece and that I had ruined it. He sent in that e-mail the web site forme to order and pay for him a new one at the cost of $375.00 plus taxes and shipping.(If this was a brand new one to begin with, yet he stated to me that it had beendamaged in shipping, why didn't he return it for a new one then?)He had also stated in that e-mail that he hadn't reported to the Revdex.com and wantedto keep this complaint just between us. Our e-mail had been down for a few daysand we didn't see it until Aug. 16, 2015 and e-mailed him back on the 16th. and askedhim to bring it back so I could redo it. I do not feel that I owe him a brand newone. Then I received this from the Revdex.com about the complaint. This is what I can do. I can fill the hole with epoxy and when dry can redrillthe hole for a shorter screw. The stock can be stripped and refinished at no costto the Client.[redacted]WaterOak Furniture Repair
