Waterproof Solutions is the Best! The basement flooded in our new home days after we closed, we had no idea what to do It just happened that our agent knew of Steve [redacted] and Waterproof Solutions She made a call and Mr [redacted] came out himself, on time and extremely professional He met with myself, our agent, the builder and his waterproofing consultantMr [redacted] , (Steve), handled the conversation and provided all of the information with the utmost courtesy and professionalism far surpassing any other provider that I have had contact with in years He listened to the points of the builder and their "specialist" and then pointed out, respectfully, the issues at hand The builder was on his heels the entire time, at no point did he expect someone with this much knowledge to be present or even available After all was said and done the information was passed with a letter drafted by Steve for all parties involvedWe still have not resolved anything with the builder but we know that the Waterproof Solutions Team and Steve [redacted] are on our side

We had a leak in our basement and I contacted Stephen from Waterproof Solutions to see if he could diagnose the problem and have it fixed He reviewed the leak and foundation of the house in addition to the amount of drain tile previously installed by another company Stephen quickly discovered that we did not need additional drain tile, but the source of the leak was most likely from the kitchen stack (pipe)Stephen offered to do a walk-through with us at any new home that we would purchase as well to make sure we were comfortable with the basement and any potential water problems down the road

This company has impressed me more than once During my first encounter, I braced myself for a very expensive bid and found myself infront of the owner himself taking the time to help me understand why my house did not need extensive structural repair and what the plan was That was several years ago and we havent had any related issues since My second encounter was of a construction nature to fix damage unrelated to the previous issue The owner came out to inspect it himself, let me know it was an issue outside the scope of what Waterproof Solutions typically handles, and came out a second time to bring and refer me to an owner of another company who could fix my issue The world needs more Stevens!

Steve Burton and his company, Waterproof Solutions, deserves a big thinks from me…THANKS! As a realtor, I often find myself in wet, cracking or smelly basements. He is always the guy I go to when I see a problem, because I trust Steve and his team will be honest, have a fair price and always do a great Job. To Steve, and it is not money he wants my client to spend, it is structurally what’s really going to work and why. The folks at WPS always educate the seller on the problem, and what needs to be done, even if it’s nothing. Being a foundation specialist means more than just making foundations stick together. Being a foundation specialist is a skill, that Steve is proud of, and wants his work to illustrate. I know I will not be getting calls from my buyers complaining about the work and my clients cannot say enough good things about the professional way your crew handles everything, plus I look like a hero.

Was able to make time for a last minute foundation review/inspection. They were very professional and thorough. The information I received was very helpful. I would definitely recommend them in the future.

Job just completed but looks great. All were helpful and appeared knowledgable. Owner took personal interest in seeing that work was completed according to plan. Workers were prompt, trustworthy and left area neat and tidy.

My neighbors and I had a bad problem with water pooling in the space between our 3 houses a few years ago. Waterproof Solutions designed a drainage system that would take care of surface water which sometimes would stand for a week or more after a rain. They also were able to tie in several downspouts and sump pumps from our 3 houses so that the whole area stayed dry.
I developed a problem with the system after all the rain we've had recently, so today a crew came to the house, determined the source of the problem, and corrected it. Everything is working fine now, and there was no further charge to me since the repair was covered by the warranty they provided with the original job. Very good people to do business with!

I have an issue with severe cracking on a corner of my brick home. I was concerned that foundation settling may be the root cause of the problem and contacted Waterproof solutions to give me an assessment of the problem. My appointment was with [redacted]. I was surprised to learn that he is the President of the company. After a few minutes discussing my concerns, [redacted] looked at the crack (which goes from foundation to roof) and then headed to the basement for a look at the foundation. It didn't take him long to confirm that the problem was not with the foundation but with the brick masonry. He recommended that I contact a brick mason to rebuild the wall and fix any issues that were likely caused by severe winters, rain, snow, freezing, etc. In short, [redacted] was very honest and straightforward in his evaluation and provided me with the assurance I needed to take the correct next step.

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint of 11.09.15. We have thousands of satisfied customers, and we continuously strive to improve every aspect of our process. Mr. [redacted]'s comments would indicate we need to...

focus on communication. We talk daily to clients to discuss all facets of their projects so it is perplexing that our customer relation processes were not effective in this case.
We performed the major item on the contract successfully, the installation of a drain tile system. In the area of the window well drain pipe leaking onto the basement floor, we responded to Mr. [redacted]'s call within the time frame that was mutually agreed upon in the contract, and installed the pipe directly into the drain tile system. In Mr. [redacted]'s picture there appears to be leaking still, we did not know of this situation until we received the picture via the posting. We would need to look at this further to determine the cause and developed suggested solution. As to the issues with windows and the resulting leaking, we need access to the windows to determine the best method to repair. We are not a window contractor but we are involved with basement windows as they can and do interface with the prevention of water intrusion into a basement. With further study we could likely make a recommendation for the adjustment to the windows that would prevent further issues.
The biggest part of the project was the successful installation of a drain tile system that included a sump pit/pump/lid. This portion of the project is working as designed. There is no reference to cove plate on the home owner approved drawing or contract, so we did not install it.
The communications that Mr. [redacted] details does not correspond to our records. We did receive several calls and responded accordingly; going to his home on three separate occasions.
We subsequently received notification from Mr. [redacted]'s credit card company that they had processed a charge back for the amount of the contract as Mr. [redacted] had filed a charge back request with them because he was having leaks around the window. We provided the pertinent information about this project to the credit card company's investigative staff and they determined that we had indeed fulfilled our obligations and refunded us the contract amount. We feel that this is a very important aspect of this case, the home owner's credit card company investigated the issue and found that we had in fact fulfilled our obligations and proceeded to refund the money back to Waterproof Solutions for the project.
In order to find the solution to Mr. [redacted]'s leaks around the window well drain pipes and window, we would propose that an investigation be conducted of the interface between the window, the frame, the existing sealants, the foundation wall, the condition of the window well covers and the rate of flow from the well in a rain event. With this information a solution could be developed. We would gladly offer to be a part of this effort.

I don't currently have access to my computer to respond fully to this but want to make it clear the main issue was the window drains. The biggest part of the project was NOT the installation of a drain tile system that included a sump pit/pump/lid, which also was not done correctly with cove plate. (Huge issue) Also the credit card company is still investigating the issues and has many pages, photos, and third party documentation of mistakes and issues caused at my house. I just spoke with them after I saw this response and was assured the issue is not resolved and they are still investigating. Once I get the next letter from them dated today staying this I will post if this issue is not resolved at that time. To me this just proves not to trust this company if they are going to lie about the issues.

Waterproof Solutions fixed a crack in our business foundation. I called this company because a previous inspection they performed was very thorough and professional and did not try to sell me unneeded work. Thomas, the individual sent to fix the leak, was very pleasant, professional and informative. Two positive experiences with this company gives me the confidence to call this company our basement professionals.
