I am rejecting this response because: a free belt worth a few dollars does not compensate for the weeks of hassle and the extremely rude behavior of the businesses owner and staff. I reasonably relied on the business's statement when I dropped off my vacuum that it would be fixed within a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks turned into six weeks (six weeks without being able to vacuum my home is unreasonable). Every time I called the store for an update, I was passed around among staff and lied to. I am abhorred that this is the way MrW*** decides to run his business, which is also reflected in the extreme delay he has taken in responding to this Revdex.com claim. I did not receive the $some dollars worth of service that I paid for. If a customer drops of an item, is told it will be fixed in weeks, calls to find out that the part was not even ordered until about weeks after drop off, then the item takes several more week to repair is ridiculous and extremely poor service. A customer should not be required to pay the full value, especially when all of the staff whom I spoke on the phone with (at least four people) were very rude and lied about the status of the repair. I do not accept the free belt as compensation. I want a refund of the cost to service the vacuum, and agree to pay for the replacement part.
