[redacted] started his application on June 7, and was suppose to take his apartment on Friday June 10, After not showing up for his move in, [redacted] contacted him Mr [redacted] stated he wanted to see the apartment before signing any documentation All though we do not do weekend move ins, we took care consideration that he was coming from out of state Mr [redacted] came in on Saturday July, 11, and decided he wanted to cancel because the bedroom was too small When completing his online application, it states that the security deposit is forfeited after hrs of the application just before it ask for his signature Please understand that we are just following our company policy [redacted] Property Manager-Watersedge

I am rejecting this response because:I started my application process on June 7th, 2016, but I did not actually submit or pay the deposit until June 9thI have a bank statement that proves thisI also sent an email on June 9th(which I still have in my sent folder, and a copy) that states that I wanted to think about my decision before actually signing the documentationMy company provided me with temporary lodging so I was no longer in a rush, So I told them that I wanted to see the apartment on June 11th when my plane arrived, since they asked for a higher price than we anticipated to pay.They wanted us to say we moved in on June 10th and pay them, when we wouldn't actually be moving into the apartment and getting any keys until the 11thI did not want to do thisWe did not like the apartment because it was in fact to small, but the outside was not kept clean as well, it just wasn't what I was anticipating, based off the picturesSo with that being said if we didn't pay the deposit until June 9th, and we declined the apartment on June 11th that would not have forfeited the application rule of hours rule.
