Review: We should have had a clue from the very beginning that this project was not going to go well. Initially, we put money down and signed the contract on 7/11. We were told that the sliding glass door would be in no later than the end of the following week. I believe we allowed for 2 weeks to pass. No one reached out to us to let us know what the status was. Therefore, we reached out only to find that the door hadn't come in yet. A woman had told us it would be 2-3 weeks. We allowed some more time to lapse. Again, no one reached out to us, we had to reach out to them. The person indicated "I was just about to contact you". Given the history, I doubted that. At this point, it had taken 4 weeks since we placed a down payment. Far beyond the time we were quoted at. The project was to remove two windows and door to be replaced with a sliding glass door. The maximum amount of time to complete this project was going to be 2 days; a full day plus a partial. So far, it has taken one full day plus 2 partials. The door placement was not quite where were had anticipated/described its placement to be during the initial consult. It was never reviewed/confirmed, during the install, about the placement of the sliding glass door. The door was narrower than described in the initial consult. The shoddy workmanship of the end result is very noticeable. Everyone who has come over to see it has indicated that the 'finished walls' were not left in state to be painted. The workers were not professional. One was found smoking in our garage. Another was charging their cell phone. In order to accommodate the work, we arranged our work schedules to be present. On the second day, however, no one showed up or called. We wasted half of our day only to find that the workers don't come on rainy days; even though the content of the work was to be done inside. Why wouldn't someone notify or contact the customer? The workers took many breaks! At one point, I entered the area in which they were working only to find the one fellow staring off into space. He saw me and began to 'work'. The workers left a 5'X7' hole in the wall while they went to lunch. I had to figure out a way to cover it order to prevent bugs from entering into the house. After lunch, a worker made the comment "we better hurry up before the rain comes". One of the workers threw a large piece of wood off of our balcony and it landed in our neighbors flower bed. No one retrieved it. I went over, after they left, to remedy the situation. In the end, we are extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the 'craftsmanship' and customer service. It is highly unlikely that we would ever desire to use their services again.Desired Settlement: No charge for the inferior/shoddy work as we will have to pay someone else to correct the work.

After receiving the complaint letter, I immediately contact the homeowner ([redacted] to set up an appointment to look at the work in question. After meeting with Mr [redacted], I contact a drywall contractor to tune up the area in question. The drywall contractor contacted Mr [redacted], looked at the project, and completed the repairs that were needed. At that point I called Mr [redacted] to make sure that everything was done to his satisfaction and he confirmed that it had been and told me that it was "perfect".

I reduced the invoice amount because of any inconvenience that was caused to the customer and it has been paid in full.

I only wish that Mr [redacted] would have contacted me to discuss any concerns that he may have had. I would have liked to have the opportunity to resolve these issues before the Revdex.com was contacted.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have accepted this response but wanted to point out some miss information. I made contact with Watertown Siding to come look at the pore quality of the work. He did not contact me and never indicated that he was going to contact me. If Watertown Siding did not want me to contact the Revdex.com, they need to make it standard practice to review quality of the work by the management. They already knew I was not happy with the work conducted by the specific employees and the behavior of the specific employees. Watertown Siding should not advertise that they can complete this type of professional work. $140 is no where close to the time my family spent dealing with this issue.
