Review: I took my car to the car wash the attendant broke the rear view mirror off my windshield which caused a crack in my windshield a manager came out informed me I had to leave the car wash once the wash was finished as he was unable to reach the owner in regards to the cracked windshield and to return later when he would be able to be reached. When I returned the manager informed me that they would only glue my rear view mirror on and not replace the windshield. They tried to tell me that my rear view mirror had been glued on by someone at one time that they were not responsible for the damage.Desired Settlement: I wish to have the windshield replaced

In reviewing the customer statement contained in the letter I received from you yesterday, I have noticed some rather glaring deviations and omissions of what actually occurred on 4/11/2014. While eating lunch on the day in question, our car wash manager called me on my cell phone to ask me to pick up a rearview mirror adhesive kit because while cleaning the windows on a customers car, one of our employees barely touched the mirror in the individuals car and it came off. As our protocol requires, the manager filled out an incident report with all of the pertinent information, took photos of the mirror attach point and informed the customer that based on the adhesive residue running down the windshield as well as the apparent circular fracture in the windshield at the mounting point, there was clear evidence of a substantial previous impact and subsequent repair to the windshield and attachment prior to the mirror falling off at our site. In spite of this, he told the customer that we would re-attach the mirror at no cost to her as soon as I returned with the repair kit. The customer left the site and returned later at which point we completed the repair. I later followed up with the customer via telephone and she informed me that she had contacted the Revdex.com and filed a complaint. The customer also said she did not want to discuss it any further.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

As I stated I had been asked to return as the Manager stated he had to reach the Owner that was running personal errands at the time of the incident to have him pick up a kit to glue my mirror on and to return in an hour. I did not know at that time my windshield was broke until I got into my car to leave to make my appointment with Ageing and Disability. When I returned is when they took my car to a different area and stated they were going to take pictures etc. and tried to tell me that my windshield was previously broke I believe the way he stated is that is was an old break, and that the mirror had been glued once before. I informed the Manager that the windshield had not been touched since it was replaced from the hail storm when I lived in Madison. He said do you know who the owner is I said is he any relation to the folks from Exhaust Pros as they also do work on my car. He said yes gave me a business card and said he would have the Owner call me. Which he did and tried to say the same as the Manager that my windshield had been an old break which is a lie !!! I just simply stated that I had filed a complaint and would have the Revdex.com deal with this.
