Disappointed with Watham Castanas is an understatement! In Seahaven, a few properties are having their solar panels blocked by new builds.
We are required by law to have solar panels on new builds in California, it has cost residents a lot of money.
WC have no intention of rectifying the situation despite admitting their new builds will affect our solar panels. Their attitude is oh well, never mind. It is painful dealing with them and the correspondence /contact we have received has been rude, impolite and condescending. They are ignoring the Solar Rights act and don’t have the decency to deal with the situation. They always knew they would be placing new builds blocking existing properties solar panels, they are blatantly refusing to address the issue.

I am very disappointed by the customer service rep named Tabitha who I had to deal with because the sprinkler system was not installed properly the kitchen has a very poor design with the microwave oven being on top of the stove there is literally 14 inches between the stove top and microwave and we have large pots for cooking our meals that are 12 inches to 13 inches there is no way to stir. I did not realize this till later and went to model office where I was referred to customer service and dealt with Tabitha who stays silent on the phone while you are asking questions. she was not helpful did not care what I had to say period! I would hate to have this kind of person representing my interests. Beware of the houses on Westerra development out by Shaw past 99. They refuse to help me and take my calls Im so disappointed!!

This is an absolute fraud. Do not trust Vicky or any of the salespersons in the office. You must be prequalified through their lender, which I did. Always have your realtor sign you in or your realtor will be scammed thousands of dollars. Unbelievably shady realtors here. Avoid buying from this builder and their vile salespersons.

I purchased a home from Wathen Castanos Homes in March of 2015 in SLO, CA. Within the first year, I learned that the roof trusses in my attic were improperly installed resulting in ceiling cracks, wall cracks, and other defects throughout my house. It is now May of 2018, and I am still trying to get builder to repair subsequent drywall repairs after more cracks in ceilings and walls appeared with their first attempt to shim the roof trusses that ultimately failed. It is from their carelessness and improper installation of roof trusses that has caused problems into my third year of ownership of my home. Doing business with their construction supervisor and his superior has been a very negative experience: there are no timely replies to my inquiries; there is an attempt to force me to use their unprofessional and incompetent sub-contractors who had to redo unsatisfactory work the first time around; they have been intimidating in their approach to resolving my issues. I would give them a D in their customer service department and in their choice of drywall subcontractors. Next month I have to clear out large pieces of furniture so they can be moved to accommodate dry wall demolition and repair crews. All this time, I have never been contacted by their corporate office CEO to view the extent of damage in my home. Their method is hurry up and build it/hurry up and sell it, then make the buyer wait for warranted repair work, hoping the homeowner will just give up. Anyone contemplating buying a home from these builders: beware!
