I have received the complaint #[redacted] submitted about Capitol City Ford by one of our customers. The 2011 Ford F150 Lariat was purchased "as is" and the customer elected not to purchase an additional warranty to cover his truck against future problems. We have made repairs since his purchase to attempt to make him happy, splitting the cost with him (at our cost). This would be a $2000.00.He chose a year newer (Platinum F 150) with considerably less mileage and wanted to have an even trade. We were able to get his payment to $35.00 more per month. The 2014 Ford F150 was sold to [redacted], not [redacted].  However, Mr. [redacted] was involved in the sale and delivery of the vehicle.   At the time of sale we agreed to the following:       Window Tint     Clean     Keyless Entry Code  ...

All of these were completed.  The keyless entry code was given to them written on the back of Matt B[redacted]’s business card.   Mr. [redacted] test drove the vehicle before buying and inspected the vehicle after it had been cleaned and the windows tinted.  He accepted delivery. The vehicle is a used vehicle with over 49,000 miles and was sold “As Is”.  We do not feel that anything is owed to the [redacted]’s.  We have offered to replace their windshield at our cost. In response to the ‘part’ that was not on the trade in vehicle—it was the catalytic convertors which prohibits us from selling the vehicle to a retail customer.    Denise B[redacted] Controller Capitol City Ford

The truck was purchased as is and there was an issue with from day one.  Capitol City is now saying they have no record or will honor the 2 year warranty for the work that was done to replace the timing chain which has gone bad again.  I received from them an email stating they would trade...

me out for a truck on their lot that was comparable and did not follow through. Every communication from them was we will make it right and take care of the issue.  They were very confident in their technicians that the timing chain would resolve the issue when come to find out, it was a cam phaser.  They never fixed the issue and would not give me any paper work showing what work was done.  I asked for it and they said they could not provide it. I can print and send all email communications from them to you if needed.  I have also asked for all the service records.
