I am in the process of selling my houseDuring my home inspection, dripping water was noted from my attic AC unitThe buyer requested that I have this repaired and the AC serviced/tuned upMy unit was otherwise fully functional and my house has been cooling appropriatelyI hired Watson RefrigerationThey asked if I wanted to them top off my unit with coolant and I said yesThey added pounds of refrigerant and then told me that my AC thermoexpansion valve is brokenThe next day, my AC was not workingIt got up to degrees in my house with the AC running the entire timeI hired a separate company to look at the unit and was told that likely adding pounds of refrigerant overloaded the system and caused the valve to breakIf my unit were in need of pounds of refrigerant, it would not have been cooling before it was "serviced." I called Watson Refrigeration
