1-22-14: The first call was for a road service not a towA tow truck driver that pulls for Watt's not an employee of Watt's....told my driver it was an electrical issue so it had to be towedNothing of FUEL or GASOLINE was mentioned and if it was I with years of driving diesel trucks know the difference between the both of them.My driver told me the tow truck driver was just that a tow truck driver and not a MechanicWatts didn't send a road service because it was -4deg! They made a evaluation of the breakdown & didn't want to send a road service do to the weather
1-24-14: So much for customer service my driver sat in a hotel room for two daysWatt's service department didn't start on my truck until I called begging them just to look at it! So I ask you thison that day so called technicians took all day to realize the truck was out of fuel and it was NOT an electrical issue as misdiagnosed at firstSo they were able to put fuel in it start it and get it in the shop remember that
1-27-14: Well yes days later why so long to approve repairs.......Well because of the OUTRAGOUS prices charged for towing and repairs that kind of money is not just sitting around for a person who is just starting a company.......by the way I asked the service manager to work with me but that fell on deaf earsSo think back to the 24th when ..... the so called techs that were in the freezing cold weather that could not figure out a simple DIESEL FUEL issue but remember they were able to start it on that daySo why did they have to tow it I the shop? Each time they towed the truck in the shop they hit me with a tow bill? I had it towed once that's all it should take......why should I pay for there in competence on how to get a truck in the shopThey could have charged the air system to release the tractor brake or caged the maxi brakes to release them and pulled it with another truck.....even a Watt's pick up truck to get the truck in the shop
Late that evening I was called by *** in service areaHe told me the Bunk heater system batteries were diagnosed as the electrical problem as causing a short and draining the trucks starting batteries.....two separate systems. I authorized the repairs for that issueI asked if this would fix the drain on the electrical systemI was told yes it would ......on to another misdiagnosis
1-28-14: Was called by Watt's they stated to me the truck still would not start even after their Techs said the Bunk system was at fault.......NOT!!! Well again money was tight and I was working on getting the cash for the repairs and fuel......I will not deny money issuesI was told that the batteries for the starting system were bad and had to be replaced at a cost of $per batteryI asked once again if this was the problem and was assured this would fix the starting problem..........if I could only see into the future!!
1-29-14: Still working on cash flow issues
1-31-14: Authorize fuel to be addedAdditional starting issues were not mentioned by Watt's service department.......LIES!
2-5-14: Was told Truck was ready for pick up and asked if it was functional? I was told yes it was and you can pick it upI sent my driver to retrieve the truckUpon getting to the truck it was already running when the driver arrived.........now why would this be? I've picked up many a vehicle from shops and it was here are you keys the vehicle is outside......sound fishy to me.....maybe they knew the truck wouldn't start for the driver?????HMMM
2-6-14: Driver called form his home to say THE THREE NEW batteries were deadMISDIAGNOSIS AGAIN........NOT THE BATTERIESI called Watt's and spoke to the Manager and I asked them to come get the truck to fix what I paid for.......the refuse and only offer to jump start the unitI was also told never to bring the truck back for other work cause they would not work on it!
Last Watt's is trying to hide behind a miswording on the type of fuel a diesel truck takesBottom line is the word used the most in my email....MISDIAGNOSIS!!! I ask the stand by there work nothing more.......they didn't and to me that show fault on there behalf
Sincerely

1/22/- At 8:pm in -degree weather, we were dispatched to tow a loaded tractor and trailer from, edge of busy highwayThere were no instructions at that time to add “gasoline” to vehicle even though it uses dieselTowed vehicle to our facility and parked it outside
because our shop was full of scheduled work
1/24/- Two technicians worked outside at near zero temperature to get vehicle runningRan engine approximately one hourFound several maintenance issues with vehicle along with the starting issueWaited until 1/27/for authorization to further diagnose and continue needed repairs to vehicle
1/27/- Towed vehicle into shopTroubleshoot no start issue and found problems with both fuel and starting systems,
1/28/- Continued with approved repairsWe installed new batteries to continue diagnosing starting problemDisconnected non-functioning auxiliary power unit to eliminated that as a possible drain on the electrical systemNo further repairs were authorized on the electrical systemVehicle shut off on road test even though there was at least three inches of fuel in each fuel tankThis indicated a possible fuel piproblemAdded gallons of fuel and started vehicle
1/29/- Let vehicle set overnight and attempt to startVehicle would not start again because of potential fuel piproblemWaited on authorization from customer to add $of fuel to vehicle
1/31/- Received authorization to fuel vehicle and added $of diesel fuelAdditional starting system repairs needed were not authorized
2/5/- Customer paid billJump started vehicle and driver left
2/6/- Customer called because truck would not startWe offered to perform road service at no-charge to jump start vehicleCustomer declined our offer
Customer had a difficult time accepting and/or comprehending every issue discussedThis was complicated further because truck has several issues causing a no-start condition
In response to customer’s statement of the problem, we want to make it clear the on 1/22/2014, we were dispatched for towing only, not adding “gasoline" (even though it runs on diesel)Second, customer did not authorize to add 'fuel until 1/31/Third, we never stated that we performed more than one road testFourth, we explained to customer that there were other starting issues with vehicle and further repairs were their responsibilityLastly, we do not have any idea what the customer is talking about in reference to “destroying their fire extinguisher under the truck”A fire extinguisher is to be properly mounted inside the cab
