Had a house fire 2 years ago and have been back in our home for 1 year now. There is still work that needs to be completed. Still have not received full payout for our belongings. Everytime We contact wawanesa, we get a different adjustor who never returns our phone calls and emails and just passes our case onto someone else. Impossible to get call backs from anyone in the company. Will be taking them to court in August if we do not have our house complete AND our payout.

Desired Outcome

Work complete along with payput ASAP or We will see them in court.

I have read through the complaint that you filed with the Revdex.com and reviewed the claim. I certainly do apologize for any burden or delay this matter has caused you.

This claim was originally assigned to a Field Adjuster in our Saskatoon Service Office. Our Field Adjuster worked through the claim until July 26, 2017. The file was then transferred to an Inside Claims Adjuster, S. K., being that most of what appeared to remain to be completed on the file as of that date was for the completion of the contents portion of the claim which was being handled by E-djuster, an Independent Contents Valuation Firm. Unfortunately, in November of 2017, this Adjuster had to take a medical leave. Consequently, this file was transferred to another Inside Claims Adjuster, C. T.

C. T. worked this file until she left the Employment of Wawanesa in January of 2018. At that time, the file was re-assigned back to S. K., who had returned from her medical leave. Again, I do apologize for any inconvenience or delays this may have caused. Certainly, it is not our wish nor intention to have to move claims files around unnecessarily.

I understand that there was also a delay in our receiving the final contents report from E-djuster that was required to calculate final payment amounts for your contents claim. After S. K. followed up with E-djuster a number of times between January 2018 and present, we finally did receive their final report in regard to your contents. I am glad to advise that we were able to issue another contents payment to you on June 26, 2018. I did note that we were able to process payment to you for the Actual Cash Value of your contents items back on May 15, 2017 based on the contents listing from E-djuster. Again, I apologize for this delay as well. It is our job to ensure that any third party providers that we use are providing a service that is not only customer friendly, but timely as well.

I know that you have also forward some additional concerns on the repairs to your dwelling along with some other contents items. We will have an adjuster contact you by July 4th in order to finalize all matters of your claim. In the future, we certainly will be emphasizing the need to keep our insured informed of all matters taking place within the claim.
