In 2001, we hired Wayne [redacted] (on the recommendation of a family member that knew him well) to replace our roof, and had 25-year shingles installed. Earlier & later this year we had shingles falling off the roof in multiple locations and many others visibly loose. We are now having a new roof put on only 14 years after the install of a 25-year shingle. Hugely disappointing and an unexpected setback financially!! The install 14 years ago was less than stellar. The roof LOOKED nice but cleanliness of their work was messy: shingle pieces, nails, plastic nail tabs all over the grounds
Still found them a year later in our lawn and shrub areas. We had told him multiple times, when he stripped the roof, that there was rain & downpours expected the next day. He "couldn't make it there " with tarps so roof remained exposed with just plywood, no covering, so we had major water damage through the house, from the attic to the basement...water pouring through our door casings and light fixtures in the closets, through the exposed wood beams in our ceilings, over our computer & desk, walls & insulation all wet & needed replacing. Their insurance did cover the repairs but it should've never happened in the first place. I chose not to write a review at that that time, because it was over and done; however, now with having to replace the shingles 10 years early, I'm not so happyagain. Our new, well-known roofer has told us the shingles weren't even nailed in in the right place! Sadly, I would NOT recommend this contractor for any job needing to be done.
