I am rejecting this response because: How can they know that the issue of the leak is from a seal? They have not seen it in person or sent anyone who is representing them to assess the issue in personFrom day 1, even before seeing any pictures or hearing any information regarding the issue they have said that they are not responsible for the warranteeNow all of a sudden they know exactly what is wrong with it and that it's not coveredThey even tried saying that it was the fault of the contractor who installed the boiler that was to blameThey are blaming everyone and doing everything that they can to get out of this warrantee

In response to the consumer's rejection of the Wayne Combustion Systems initial response, below is the sequence of events and process that was followed to determine if the failure of the boiler would be covered under the manufacturer's warranty:- On Tuesday March 6th approx1pm, Wayne Combustion Systems (WCS) received notice of the failure of the aforementioned boiler- Upon receiving notice of the failure, WCS contacted the homeowner during the afternoon of Tuesday March 6th to request contractor information and other details of the failure as well as the make/model/serial #/etc of the boiler. - On Tuesday, March 6th, 11:43pm, the homeowner, emailed pictures of the warranty terms that were supplied with the boiler as well as current contractor's service logs indicating the cause of the boiler failure to be a leak. To quote the contractor "Williamson OWT-boiler leaking water between sections. Boiler needs replacement". This service log was dated 03-05-18.- On the morning of Wednesday March 7th, WCS requested photos of the boiler from both the homeowner and the HVAC contractor showing the failure. Concurrently, WCS was in contact with the original manufacturer of the boiler.- WCS received photos of the leaking boiler from the HVAC contractor (Wood's Heating Service, Inc) at 11:57am, Weds, March 7th. WCS then contacted the original boiler manufacturer and sent the photos of the leaking boiler to them. - At 1:30pm Weds, March 7th, the original boiler manufacturer responded back to WCS. The professional assessment from the boiler manufacturer, who has been in the business for over years, was that the leak could be a defective seal or a seal that has deteriorated due to petroleum products that have softened and damaged the seal. Their assessment was also that a defective seal would have leaked very early in the life of the boiler and been a progressive problem from the beginning of the product's life.- At approx4:30pm, Weds, March 7th, WCS called the homeowner AND contractor as well as followed up via email to explain the assessment stated above. While on the phone, WCS explained that if the homeowner would like to further pursue the warranty claim, that the manufacturer's limited warranty terms should be followed. The terms state "the alleged defective part or parts must be returned through trade channels in accordance with the boiler manufacturer's procedure, currently in force, for handling returned goods for the purpose of inspection to determine cause of failure. The boiler manufacturer will furnish new part(s) to an authorized boiler distributer who, in turn will furnish the new part(s) to the heating contractor who installed the boiler.Wayne Combustion Systems has and will continue to comply with the terms of the warranty as stated above and supplied with the original boiler

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I agree that I accidentally submitted this complaint against the wrong business

Hello,As stated above, Wayne Combustion is no longer in the business of selling boilers, however we will abide by the terms of the aforementioned warranty.  While this failure is unfortunate, the attached warranty document states that the second through the tenth year is a limited...

warranty that covers only the cast iron sections of the boiler.  Based on the information provided, the failure of the boiler is not due to the cast iron portion and thus is not covered under the warranty.
