Wayne's Garage, Inc. Reviews (5)

I have never written a review of a business before, but I will be writing this one on every website possible.
Wayne's Garage lied about perfectly good brakes and way overcharged for the work they performed.
My Nephew attends Temple University and uses his Grandparents (my Parents) older car to commute to school and drive to work. The car broke down so he called [redacted] and they towed it to Wayne's Garage. [redacted] should be ashamed of themselves for associating with this garage, unless they are scratching each other's backs.
They said the car needed a new alternator and a new battery, followed by the statement, "The rear brakes are down to the metal and the car is unsafe to drive like that". They wanted to charge him over $1200.00! We decided to replace the alternator and battery ($750.00 which is outrageous) just to get the car running and out of there.
We then took the car to a garage that we are familiar with and they inspected the brakes and said, "The brakes are fine and still have a few thousand miles left on them".
This is a great example of why mechanics have a notorious reputation! Hopefully this type of business practice will catch up to them eventually, but with [redacted] automatically towing cars to Wayne's they're laughing all the way to the bank.

[redacted] recollection of events is totally false. As stated in the last response and we cannot be any clearer
on [redacted]'s vehicle.Wayne's Garage was 100% in compliance under the parameters
provided by [redacted].Wayne's Garage will NOT refund any money to [redacted] and find his attempt to extort funds insulting.
We wish [redacted] best of luck in his future endeavors

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: As far as the battery not operating I'm still using it today. It's hear say on their part that I went to different shops to have my van fixed. And as far them not charging me for their alleged labor I was charged $596 and some cents and I have a receipt  to verify.  Yes it is true they did install some parts but those parts were not needed. And they did not apply any technical or mechanical expertise after installing those parts. They merely installed those parts as a charade to get the vehicle off of their premise as fast as possible. And the facts of this statement will bear me out which came in to play within 10 minutes of me paying them  $596 and some cents momentarily after the bill I walked out the door of their shop after several attempts my van would not start. Because like I said there was no technical diagnostic investigation done on the engine before or after the unnecessary parts were installed. Had the prior diagnostic been performed on the engine, the engine would have started immediately upon me paying the bill and leaving the premise. And I would not have had it towed back very next day after spending $596 and some cents cash.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Vigorously?  Well there is nothing like the safety of prestige. Fact one my van did not start within five minutes of paying the bill and there a witness employed there that can verify this. Unless they're in jeopardy of employment reprisal. Fact two I was never allowed to implement the alleged reciprocal warranty because the person in charge told me verbal live on the phone not to bring the vehicle back to the establishment and that they would not work on it anymore. Reguardless of the fact that it was only the next day that I had it towed back to the shop a second when it would not start. Had it started and ran properly the first day after I paid for it I would not have brought it back the next day. Fact three in regards to the hear say of who may have worked on my van previously and what parts may have been used is a matter of pure conjecture and did not play a pvitol or integral role in how Wayne's Garage decided to or not to repair my vehicle? Fact four I only went to Wayne's Garage in the first place on the suggestion of the [redacted] tow truck driver but when I made that decision based on what he told me, there was no way I could have anticipated that I would be taken advantage of and stone-walled for telling the truth and being sent a worthless over the top twenty dollar credit coupon as if I would ever go there again. I'm not a glutton for punishment. As far as Wanye's Garage taking legal action on me about "slandering their name" I am not.  I am only stating facts about the mistreatment and the non technical work they have done to my vehicle.  And besides they didn't take a lost I did by losing $596 and some cents for their  unexplainable  non technical repairs.

Review: My car was overheating(2000 Nissan Maxima) I went to Waynes garage to repair my overheating problem, and I was told that they have to do a diagnostics test which I think is standerd, but it going to cost me $150.00 I said ok. They call me later that day that the job was going to cost $400.00, I said ok do the repair. My spouse call the next day and they told him we have to pay $950.00 because they did this and that on my car,( Now remember I went there for overheating) any way we paid the $950.00 because I had to use my car for work, I live 15-block from the garage before I could reach my house my car was overheating I call them and the told me to bring the car back I took the car back, the next day they call me and said I will have to pay $62.68 because the repair my alternator, (remember I went there for overheating problem) after some time they call me to pick up my car I went to the garage and insisted that one of the guys test drive the car with me, we did not drive five blocks and the car started overheating. they said nothing else they could do, I left my car their, they refuse to repair my car or give me my money back.Desired Settlement: Repair my car or give me my money back. they try to take advantage because I am a lady and secondly because they hear I have a accent from another country.

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards,

I took my car to Waynes garage for repair because my car was overheating, and after performing test or diagnostic test by waynes garage, I was told by waynes garage that my thermostst and radiator was clogged or bad, they found the problem, so I give them the go ahead to fix my overheating problem. For your information from the day I drove my car out of Wayne garage my car is still overheating and it is presently parked in front of-[redacted], My residence.

1, The question here is, was my overheating problem solved? No, My car is parking as we speak.

2,What did waynes garage find , discover or diagnosed after they ran their test?

Answer, according to waynes garage my radiator was cloggd and my thermostat neaned to be changed.

Did it solve my overheating problem? no, but yet I was told by waynes garage that my problem was repair, my car was ok.

3,When did waynes garage notice that all these wires were cut ? was it after the repaires the first time, or the second time? because I am been accused of cutting wires in my car to manipulate my cooling system, that silly talk.(imagine this, I paid waine garage $950 only to go home and have some one cut wires in my car to manipulate my cooling system.) another sign of desperation on waynes garage part.

4,When did waynes garage notice or discover that my gauge was the problem? was it after the initial work? Did wayne garage fix my gauge? no

5, when did wayne garage discover that my alternator belt was missing? was it after the inetial work on my car? when? can I drive that car with the alternator belt missing without that car breaking down? that is nonesense talk. Waynes garage is desperite because they have been exposed, they have been rapping people off for a avery long time and I am going to make sure the public is informed.

It this point I am convience that my Radiator and my thermostat did not cause my overheating problem, after all the test wayne garage say they perform my car is still overheating and parked as we speak. either waynes garage do not know any thing about fixing overheating problems on cars, or waynes try to take me for a ride to squeeze more money out of me, because the game is, as I keep taking my car back the more charges waynes garage will be charging me. it happened when I took my car back for the faulty work they perform the first time they charge me $62.68 for alternator belt and bracket.

Waynes garage is telling you how diverse university city is as a ployed to diverte attention from the ugly business pratice going on at waynes garage. they try to rape me off, but when this case is ended I will have the last laugh, because this case is going to end in the courts. I am a lady you know, they saw me comming says a very closed friend of mine, and secondly I do talk with an accent it made it worst.

The only way this case will be resolved is waynes garage should give me my $950 plus $62.68=total $1012.68 because my radiator had no problem and secondly, radiators for nissan maxima cost about $160, thermostat cost about $8.00 what did waynes garage charge me for?

Let me bring to light another lie they are telling, in the first place I do not know waynes garage my husband told me to take my car to waynes garage, after my car stayed at the garage for about three days they call me on a friday to pick my car up, a had a friend drop me at the shop to pick my car up, we got there I pay them and we drove off as we got to my house about 15 block away the car began to overheat the gauge was all the way above the read line. I told my husband the problem. the next day, on a saturday my husband call waynes garage all day they refused to answer our call us back, I guess they knew the phone number and they did not want to answer us. the following monday morning they call us and told us to bring the car in it was raining that morning the notion that they came to work and the car was park in front of the garage is a lie, how did they get the keys my husband drop the car off in the rain that morning before he went to work. I tell you telephone reccords will prove that we call all day on saturday with no response from waynes garage til monday morning when the guy who opens the garage told my husband to bring the car in, that car was not left out side unattended the gentlement told my husband to park the car where it was parked.

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards,

if you read all of my responses there is nothing in my response that mention job lost or financial loses, so for waynes garage to mention job and financial loses on my part in their response is sad because they can not give proof of me telling them that, waynes garage is lieing again, at no giving time my car was ever towed to waynes garage as stated in their second response, so if they say it was towed on that day or any other day, waynes garage is lieing again, I challange waynes garage to produce the name of any towe truck company that towed my car to waynes garage on that raining monday morning. My car was driven to waynes garage in all of my contact with waynes garage. remember, waynes garage stated that my bracket was broken and my belt was cut from my alternator in their first response, so it is inpossible to have driven that car to waynes garage with a broken alternator bracket and cut belt,( which makes sense). so they are trying to change their story by saying that my car was towed to the garage, never happened, the car was release to us on a friday drove home park the car and I did not touch that car again until saturday morning on my way to work when the overheating began, I turn around came back home and park the car.(a friend took me to work that saturday morning) I told my husband the problem and he call waynes over five times, no body pick up the phone, I think he must have left a message because early monday morning we receive a call from waynes garage to bring the car in, it was never towed to waynes garage, my husband drove the car to waynes garage ,and give the key to the gentlement who was opening the garage that raining monday morning. I hope you are taking note of waynes garage inconsistencies in all of their responses to you because I do have copy of every response. I did asked waynes garage few questions that were never address by waynes garage, and I am going to ask again, when did waynes garage notice that my alternator bracket was broken?, when did waynes garage notice that my alternator belt was cut? when did waynes garage notice that I had all these wires cut in my engine? was it during the first work or not ? I need a response from waynes garage.

Let me share little lihgt on something, remember in waynes garage first response they said the came to work and my car was parking, and I asked how did they get the keys? the never answer. I want to give this warning to waynes garage that lawyers have a way of obtaining phone reccords so be careful how you put your lies together because you are going to get cought in the end, waynes garage work on my car, release it to me on friday, car overheating, call waynes garage all day on saturday no answer, waynes garage call my husband early monday morning and that is how my car got to waynes garage for the second time ,my car was never towed to waynes garage and my car was never left at wayne garage unattanded with out giving the the keys to waynes garage worker, they talk about my car been towed to back up their lies that my alternator bracket was broken and my alternator belt was cut, because they know that that car could not be driven with those two thing missing. waynes garage was paid to solve my overheating problem, waynes did not do the work for which waynes garage was paid, my car is overheating as we speak I do need my money back.they talk about operating their business(waynes garage) in a diverse neighborhood in their first response, waynes garage is right, the question is who is benefitting from their presence in their so call diversed neighborhood they are operating in?these are some of the problems we are talking about in our neighborhood, I mean people like waynes garage operating in our neighborhood an exploiting us at the same time, mostly minority and women.

Finally, I want to let waynes garage know that the only way to settle this is to pay out, give me my money back. you can not scare me with your big money, remember small ax cut down big trees. if this is not resolve by Revdex.com I will take the next step contact your lawyer.
