Wayne's Marine Reviews (4)

The Job is complete and I take the blame for part of delay and some of it was due to back ordered parts [redacted] is really a good guy and I like him his dad I worked on his engines and boats for the entire time of my career from day one because he was a customer of the dealership I went to work for at 17 then after opening my own at 25 years old he became a customer there! I can understand his frustration I have been in the marine buisness this oct will 40 years and at one time ran and owned one of the largest marine dealerships in the south we sold and repaired boats all over the U.S  never one time have been to court are been sued over my work" and really when it comes down to it I take the blame for all of it because some where in the process if had of got parts ordered maybe 24hrs before we would missed the backorders. Because someone somewhere bought the last set of pistons we needed which caused a long delay any way the job is complete and me and [redacted] will move forward

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I bought the boat in December of 2014 ,so there's no way he had it at the end of last summer. I took it to him at the end of  December as soon as a bought it where he supposedly tried to free the engine. He could not, and he gave me a price of 5500 to 6500 to do a complete rebuild. I have paid the 6500 in total. I do not care what Mr. [redacted]' opinion of me is. I paid to have a job done and it has not be done in a timely or professional manner. It is not my job to find or "hunt" down parts. I paid a "certified" mercruiser mechanic to do a job, which to my understanding, I pay the money, he does the work that was supposed to be done. I pick up when job has been completed. I understand parts may be on backorder, but the parts weren't ordered until April. With regard to Mr. [redacted] response, he didn't clarify why the job has not been completed and when the job would be completed. When I bought my boat in December I also ordered a custom cover. I stored the boat on my own property covered and in storage until I brought it to him in April. When I dropped the boat off at his shop it was covered from front to back. It was then uncovered a couple of weeks later and the cover was never put back on. In turn, the boat was uncovered with the sun and rain beating on the interior for nearly 3 months now. I asked him to please cover it back up and he said they would get to it when they could. I have pictures of how the boat looked the day I dropped it off at his shop. I take care of my property and want the job I paid to have done completed. Any other person in my shoes would be very dissatisfied and unappy with the way they and their property have been treated.
Regards,
[redacted]

At no time was Mr [redacted] Promised anything we explained to him that we are at least two months behind if not more and we would try to get it when he wanted it then we never heard from him but until recently   and if he missed the summer as he  claims then why didn't he...

simply ride up and get it when it was not ready as he claims! I I mean that pretty much says it all all he had to do was ride up here pick it up and take it have it repaired and use it My QuESTION IS WHY DID HE NOT DO THAT   the fact Mr [redacted] wanted us to give him  a discounted price for what we did do and he was irate and very abusive to my employees to where I had to leave a meeting in town and drive 18 miles to hear him be the same way with me we called mr [redacted] two weeks' ago and ask him exactly what he wanted done are phone records will show that! !   Then when he got here it changed now I disagree with him and will not refund him for our time 39 years in this business and this is the 2ND complaint I ever had WE HAVE SOLD AND REPAIRED BOATS ALL OVER THE U.S!    over 2000 boats have been repaired in our shop in the last 24 months  we are  sorry but we will not discount the work we did .

Mr [redacted] leaves out every single reason its taking this long and there are several ask him about the pistons on national back order that he said he could get  after he gave me a tongue lashing found out he couldnt  ask him about the 2300.00  no longer availible intake manifold i...

hunted  down for him but last ask him why he brought the boat to me at the end of last summer and he let it set for nearly 3 ,months with us having diagnose the problem and he decided to take it home he didnt have a cover on it then!!!!  now here's  another reason its been delayed im sitting here answering this and I was hands on it  today till he started texting at 12noon  and yes I did say it ! its my opinion   he needs a diper and a pasifier!
