Waypoint Reviews (1)

I have been trying to move out of this home since October 2016, I gave my police report for an assault that happened with a neighbor within Waypoint subdivision, however, due to the lack of communication and back and forth emails I am getting no where. I have tried to contact Corporate today and spoke with someone because they told me office mgr was out of Houston and at Corporate for a week. I have a little less than 2 weeks to be out by Feb 1, 2017. I noticed that I have my water bill and my deposit taken over from Waypoint since December. Water Co. told me at MUD that Waypoint owes me my deposit and has to refund it back to my account, this has not yet been done. Now my electric bill was taken as well since December and so no bill for January because Waypoint has me moved out and I am still here. at 2627 Kiplands way Dr, paid my rent Jan on time and move out is scheduled due to 60 day Notice to vacate sent to them on Dec. 29, 2016 and move out is by Feb 1, 2017. I have been working with Diego one of your agents and being told by Courtney that they will cover all these issues, but only waiting more than 48 hrs now months no response.

Again lack of contact with leasing manager or agents, I was told from realtor David that my transfer app may be rejected because of eviction I mentioned that came up on a application I sent with another company because the transition with Waypoint was too long and lack of communication, such that I have been waiting answer before I put in another application agent that my eviction from 2010 can possibly deny my transfer application, though I have been here for 3yrs, Triton, Colony now Waypoint, so I figure paying on time no issues and to have this as a block to transfer due to the assault is absurd.
I am currently using another option to move with another realtor that would accept my eviction so I will not lose money for apps or time which is coming soon, still no response. Today I called back to office in Woodlands to see if Courntey found out anything prior to speaking with her this morning and to find out I have to wait for Micheala still.

Also told that records show I am paying 1500 to transfer fee to move with a police report in place that has been stamped and validated but no follow up by them since they say the stamp from precinct was not acceptable, and I was told from manager at police station all they have to do is call for information, thus Absurd! I dropped off the stamped police report from the precinct and they told me this was all they do to validate the report and if you had any questions to call, however, no call to them to date. I have looked at some homes through Waypoint and put in application that could be used but did not pay another fee because I have no more money to lose, and want to make sure this would be a smooth process and only pay deposit and first month rent, no transfer fees.

I am told over and over that Micheala Gave has to deal with this but a week till she returns is too long and my move out approaching. So I continue to contact corporate to find a rude agent in the call center telling me to wait 48 hours for response, and I was trying to see if the person I spoke with this afternoon had passed my concerns to Corp Prop manager as he stated who deals with issues like mines, but nothing. Again this has been going on since October of 2016 and my move or concerns are not answered, my police report no good, no information on my referral fee and my eviction from 2010 supposedly will be denied by Waypoint after paid, all discouraging news.. Today I spoke with Kevin at Corporate again and said he would forward my issues to someone in that office that handles cases as this no call back still. So now calling back to the Woodlands office and spoke with JR who advised me again it is noted in account for Michaela again.
I am very disturbed now having problems trying to transfer within Waypoint where I am told wait for manager to call you back, and I am very concerned that I may be charged a fee of 1500 to transfer since Waypoint has not contacted the local precinct whom stamped and validated the police report for the second time I was redirected back to get a more valid report. Again, my move out Feb 1, 2017, so what is the office doing to help? Messing things up for me and I am still a current resident and paying rent on time every month with no delays.

Again, this has been since October 2016 since the assault, the sole reason I am trying to move before my lease ends again in May of 2017. I am getting the run around still to date, and currently looking for other leasing companies to lease from as we speak due to the negligence and contact follow up from Waypoint with my concerns. I don't want to pay fees or be charged any more money besides the return of my 600 deposit, even though I have lived here for 3years I will return the key and have home cleaned normal things should not be charged is for painting and carpet/floors. My house is very clean and well maintained for the entire 3yrs so I should also be getting my deposit when I move and no fees.

So now I am still waiting for Corporate or office Manager to call me immediately upon receipt of this email and respond accordingly. I have less than 2 weeks to be out of this house no water bill no electric bill what is next. On the other hand, I have also referred my Pastor to Waypoint and they moved in their home Dec 21. 2016 and was told from Waypoint that they do not honor any referral fees in Texas, but on the website it offers a 50 gift certificate of some sort after I put in my referral app. But Texas would would pay any licensed agent in Texas the full 150-300 fee. So I am figuring they are not honoring my referral application for Douglas Preston either, even though I am going through so much mind blowing back and forth I still recommended them for housing and they are happy until nightmares hit. I work nights it is often difficult to follow up at times now I am finding myself restless trying to get answers. Please help me in any way if possible, again I am just trying to move without owing before my lease is up in MAY. Wanted to transfer with Waypoint but homes I have visited in Houston were either rented or taken, or not satisfactory to my budget or not clean. Very frustrated tenant.
