We have seven people so we got the Mercedes Sprinter.
This vehicle was great featuring captains chair seating and a Diesel engine that gets over 16mpg, it is the way to go. We were doing alot of driving so we needed a vehicle that gets some descent mileage. The drive in the Spinter was easy and having the elevated view was great for sure. Why not travel like a rock star right?
Small family owned rental company, they gave me a great deal on a Sprinter van rental. Vehicle was nice and waiting at the off-airport parking lot as expected. No problems, Thanks again Guys!
I rented a van to take my family to Georgia for a vacation. First off, I asked if our van would be a newer model because I have my grandkids traveling with me. I was assured it would be a 2013-2014 vehicle. Upon pickup, I found that I was given a 2008 model van. Strike one. In our agreement, it states that if I ever go 60 miles away from the approved travel area to call first. Well, on the last day of our vacation, I woke up to find they had run my card for $300 saying I broke the terms of the agreement and traveled to North Carolina. When I explained to them that I was on the Georgia/North Carolina border where our cabin was, and I crossed over to get gas because it was 10 cents cheaper, and that I was not informed in writing or over the phone about any penalty charges, they basically said "too bad it's in our policy". I was never shown their company policy nor did I sign off on reading or agreeing to them. I've since had to close my bank account. Do not give them your CC!
