Review: Company removed and then re installed a [redacted] tub and left wires sticking out that were not previously there. The tub does not appear to be safely grounded, and WB Dickinson has failed to fixed the problem, or even come out to the house to inspect the problem.Desired Settlement: We want our money back for this job ($2,000 or more) or we want the company to come one site and fix the tub so that it is safely grounded and operable.

The customer's statement is semi-inaccurate. The "wires" in question, is actually one wire, which is called the "bonding" wire. This wire is typically secured to the motor on the whirlpool pump and connected to a copper waterline under the tub. When the removal of the tub Was made, it was most likely disconnected in order to remove the tub (as per quote). The tub in fact,is safely grounded, pending the electrician who originally wired the house, installed the outlet the tub plugs into on a GFCI circuir, which by electrical code, would not have passed the house inspection had this not been the case .
Technically by contractor's duties, this copper "bonding wire" does not fall under the plumber's responsibilities, which is why our carpenter and plumber did not re-install the wire and made the customer completely aware of the situation. The wiring should be completed by a licensed electrician.
However, like we stated to the customer (Mr. [redacted]), there is little to no risk in using the tub as is, since the tub is in fact ''grounded'" by the natural plug into the GFCI outlet under the tub.
The bonding screw that this copper wire most likely was connected to was removed when installing the new whirlpool valve. Plumbers do not corry these screws/connections,as we previously stated: it is t he responsibility of an electrician to make this wiring connection.
The desired senlement of $2000 back to the customer for this is quite frankly absurd. We've made multiple trips to the home during this remodel,on and above what was actually quoted for the work that was completed.
We will however,go to an electrical wholesaler, purchase a bonding screw , and make a final trip to re-secure the wire, pending the customer removes the negative and un-warranted reviews against our company, after the repair is made
Sincerely,
Remodeling Manager

If WB Dickinson actually returns to finish the repair, I would accept the business's response to resolve this complaint. As of today this not happened, so the complaint ID [redacted] remains unresolved.
