Sealed driveway for customerIt was a very old driveway in very bad conditionThe customer wanted mor sealer at no cost so we re sprayed the driveway to make them happy

My singular purpose in
promulgating this complaint was to alert the general public concerning Janelle's Paving work performanceThis complaint is now a matter of public recordPerhaps some good will come of this and Janelle's Paving will correct their quality deficiencies and improve work quality*** *** has informed me that they no longer will do business with Janelle.

First, The owner's response is falseWhen I first called him to ask about the cracked culvert, I was not irate, nor did I ask for a refund at that time for the cracks or the culvert I asked when they would be arriving to finish the cracks (since they did not show the day before as promised) We spoke about the culvert and I let it go because I could not prove or be certain it was them I never brought up the culvert again, but the owner could not stop harping on the fact that I asked him about it.Futhermore, I can update this response and refrain from posting negative reviews on google, yelp, yellow pages, etc if the work at the lower portion is my driveway is done properly I've been told too many times that they will come by and refill the cracks While they did come back to redo the upper portion of my driveway, the bottom portion was left in the initial condition from the day they worked here I have attached a few of many pictures I took, as I believe they speak louder than words In the pictures, you can see the crack fill was put on the pavement You will also see that it did not stick in the cracks and that grass and debris was still left in the cracks as I first described in my initial complaint Until this is fixed, I can not accept this response

I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved First, let me say that the driveway is not in terrible shapeIn fact, it was I that had first inquired about an asphalt overlay, and they did not recommend They said that the sealing would take care of most of the primary issue - loose gravel. As to power washing: after the initial treatment, I did not power wash the driveway for several months as it was November and I did not want to run the risk of ice forming on the drivewayI did not power wash until I had recontacted them to reseal the drivewayI did this as a courtesy to them so that they would have a clean surface to work onHowever, they never showed up to do the work as agreed.As described in my earlier conversations with the Revdex.com, it took me months of unanswered calls, broken appointments and finally a complaint to the Revdex.com (after I was threatened to be sued for slander) to get any action from the Jennelle's companyThey did finally come out and seal the driveway, and it looks fineI'm not sure when they were here, as they did not call or leave any kind of written documentationThey did not leave documentation after the initial application, either.I am, like most people, very busy during the day and do not take any delight in having to go through the motions of a complaint like thisI am glad it is resolved, and will not go out of my way to cause any problems for the JenellesHowever, under the circumstances I can not in good conscience say that I am satisfied with the transaction, not can I recommend them.Please let me know if there is anything more I can do to expedite the closure of this case, and thank you for helping find resolution with it

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Jay Jennelle filled exactly cracks One at the front of the driveway and closer to the road He did not call me before he came and a car was parked on another crack on the left side of the drive closer to the road and this is the only crack caused by a tree root and he did not fill it WHY DOES HE NOT CALL ME BEFORE HE IS GOING TO LOOK AT THE PROBLEM!!!! ###-###-#### He has my numberI expect a call the next time He ignored the biggest problem completely which is the sunken driveway near my sidewalk It drops down over 1" from the rest of the driveway and makes a ramp across the entire 16' width of the drivewayIt is also 16' in lengthThis was caused because it was not a layover like the rest of the driveway He cut out the old asphalt and took it away He needed to add support stone and compact it for support before he poured new asphalt and did not I repeat it was not a layover as he states the driveway was in his responseIt was the same as a new driveway and was treated like a layoverIt involves about sqft of my driveway that is 1" below the restHe filled crack in this area and failed to mention all the micro cracks that are evidentMy neighbors ask if I have a story driveway as a joke He also failed to notice that the right side edge of the driveway is cracked the entire length of the driveway about 50' long Tree roots would not cause this Jay Jennelle needs to CALL ME BACK (which he never has after the times I spoke with him and he promised to send someone out and never did) and repair these problems as follows Replace the sunken part of the driveway so it matches the rest of the drivewayThis process is detailed in my complaint Fill in the rest of the cracks that were missed noted aboveGive me a refund

Brandon Jennelle did not have enough asphalt with him on June 9. He was to bring more asphalt the next day, June 10. He did not show up. We contacted them times from June to June 14. We have documented telephone records to prove this fact. This is contrary to what Jay Jennelle stated that we contacted them after days. Also, there was absolutely NO PROFANITY OR THREATS made to anyone at any time. We NEVER requested a refundMore asphalt was to be brought and more filler for the cracks on June 10. We RESPECTFULLY requested they perform the job as promised. We will never recommend this company to anyone based on the mistruths stated in Jay Jennellle's response to the complaint. We do NOT want this company to perform any work at our location (with or without us being present). Telling untruths must be the way this company operates rather than satisfying the customer by doing the job as promised.Regards,

I could not find a place to explain why I would not accept the companies offer.1.  They offered no refund.2.  They gave false information - I did not ask for the least expensive way to do the things I ask for.3.  There was no invoice.   He stated the price after I told him what I needed done.4.  I showed him the three things I needed done and to each he said he could fix it.5.  I trusted him to do what he said and stand by this work.  This did not happen.6.  We stayed off the driveway for 3 days just to be sure.  After that is when I walked on it and it was still      tacky and came off on my foot.  Should have been dry by then but he just poured it over dirt.  We are     Talking about a section of 1 foot by 3 feet at the end of the drive.   When he did call, he told me that I must not know anything about asphalt.  Of course I don't, he is the "professional" not me.  He stated he came by and it looked good to him and stated hecould redo it (1X3 section) for $2200.00.  Lesson learned.  Hopefully for him, also.[redacted]

I spoke with Jay Jennelle on 10/25/16 and 1026/06.  At the time he agreed to come out and look at the driveway but he never showed up again or called me so we could look at it together.  The problem is with the 16'x16' section of the old driveway that was cutout and hauled away near my sidewalk. I have spider cracking (per photos) in this area as it is not a layover.  This area has also sunk below the rest of the drive which is hard to show in a photo.   He instead sent his son, without even telling me first. He put down some crack filler which might have helped, but was not careful and got it on the top of the drive where it was not needed and looks bad, as the cracking was down on right side edge of the driveway below the top driveway surface.  see photo.       At this point I would just like for Jay to call me at ###-###-#### and we can set a time when we can both look at the cutout section of the driveway and see what we can work out

The cracks on the entire drive including the lower portion of the drive were filled. We will be glad to come again on sat to refill the cracks that have opened wider due to recent colder temps. Thanks Jay Jennelle

We did the driveway for homebuilder.  He had everything graded out and sloped the way he wanted it.  We paved it just like he had it graded and the homeowner did not like the direction the water was running in.  The homebuilder has refunded their money.

Looked at the customers drive today and he has some small cracking developing due to tree roots. The customer was given 2 different quotes 1. To remove the existing drive cut out tree roots and repave. Or 2. Install.a.overlay. He chose the cheaper price of the overlay. He paid when we finished and...

was satisfied with the job. He later called us back to seal coat the drive, he paid when we the job was completed and was again satisfied. Simply put the tree roots have again damaged the driveway. We did however fill 3 small cracks with cracked filler. The customer has grossly e exaggerated the condition of the driveway. We have many pictures take today that will prove this. We offer no refund nor agree to.repave the drive again. We have the pictures to prove the driveways condition. Thanks Jay jennelle

The customer will not receive a refund. She asked what could we do for a small amount of money to help her small driveway. We explained what procedure and materials we would apply to her deteriorated driveway. We did the work told her to stay off the drive for 1 day 24 hrs. She said it looked great...

and payed the invoice. The customer left a message that she had quote been out testing the driveway materials we applied to her driveway with her barefoot and got it on her feet and that we need to come clean her foot. To my knowledge we still have the message. We can't make this stuff up.

Attached are pictures of [redacted]'s driveway.  Again, we offer no refund nor agree to repave the drive again.

I will call Mr. [redacted] to set up a time to go back and look at the driveway.

Jennelle paving came out the next day and recoated the driveway and did a very nice job.  problem taken care of.

We did the job just like the customer described. However only 1 bag of asphalt which we had with us was promised at the time. Cracks were filled and the drive was sealed. About 5 days later the customer called wanting a refund because the cracks filler was noticeable A after we sealed the drive. I...

went to look at the job the man was cursing and tthreatened. I will be glad to send someone to re fill the cracks without him at home.concerned for my employees safety. I will be glad to do it myself. If the customer agrees to not be there. We are a fair company with a good reputation for quality of work.we will gladly go over the cracks again it simply sank in which sometimes happens. Thanks Jay jennelle

This customer was irate over her plastic drain being broken she called I came out. She wanted paid for the drain and a refund on the cracks filling. At this time the first round of cracks fill had be done . The plan was to fill them once again as temps grew colder and the cracks opened up. All work...

on the cracks have be ccompleted. We went back and we over cracks multiple times. The job was completed just her husband and engineer suggested over time. Her husband later told me they had a party and his drunk friends must have hit the pipe. I then told the customer I would not pay for the pipe, which was cracked very small on the end. And all the cracks filling was complete. To keep this customer from complain to you and all over social media as she said she would do if I didn't giver some money back. I will rr visit the drive and refill cracks again as need since they may have opened wider due to colder ground temps. Again we want happy customers.
