exterior trim(totaling $180) to the contract over the phone shortly after signing the contract. Bringing his total remaining balance up to $540.00. We installed the windows and custom exterior trim on 9/9/15. The install got rained out and did not get completely finished. The customer did not make the final payment of $540 on the contract signed on 7/23/15. Shortly after the install the customer called and complained that he was not satisfied with the exterior trim.
The customer asked to sign another contract for 3 more windows on 9/14/15 totaling $675.00. He payed half down of $338.00 and agreed to pay the final amount of $877($540 + $337 = $877) on both contracts when the windows were installed.
On 11/11/15 we sent out an installer to finish the first contract and install the second. When the installer arrived and he finished his job he asked the customer what he would like done with the exterior trim he wasn't happy with. The customer choose to keep the trim.
The customer payed the final payment of $377 on the contract signed on 9/14/15. But not the $540 due for contract signed on 7/23/15. Leaving him with a balance of $540.
I spoke with the customer around 11/15/15 to try and close the account. The customer still was not happy with the exterior trim. In an effort to make the customer happy I removed the cost of the exterior trim($180) and the cost of a sill repair($45)off of his total, bringing the total to $315.00.
We did offer to repair or remove the exterior trim but the customer choose to keep the exterior trim. We can not reimburse the customer for the exterior trim as we did not charge him for the exterior trim.
