This Buyer called and wanted us to hold a car for himHe gave us a $non refundable deposit over the phone so we would not sell the carThere were other people who were interested in the car, but we sent them away because we had a
deposit to hold it for this buyerWhen he showed up to get the car he drove it and wasn't happyHe demanded a return on the depositHe was threatening and belligerentWe reminded him that it was not refundableSeveral people looked at and drove this car and not one of them felt the car was "misrepresented"We lost time and $ because we had to wait for another buyer since we had turned down buyers when the deposit was madeWe are a small business in a small town and always try and work with people and give refunds when they are warrantedWe want to grow in our community and work with our buyers when there is a problemHowever, we are a business and can not give refunds on non-refundable deposits because someone has buyer's remorseWe lost a lot of potential buyers who did not have a problem with the car
