This home is 100% complete; however, the buyer has not been able to secure financing or be able to close on the home A discussion has already been completed with the buyer whereby we are trying to assist the buyer in closing on this home, but at this point, it is entirely up to them We as a builder have done all we can do The home was supposed to close last month

After speaking with the sales person and the loan officer, it is evident that Mr*** was somewhat difficult to deal with Due to failure on his part to provide all necessary information to the loan officer, he could not get approved for a loan on his original purchase back in
January He was able to re-write later in March, but at that time, the free refrigerator, washer and dryer promotion had expired At that point, he received a larger monetary incentive ($8,versus $5,000) and we also made more features standard (42" upper oak kitchen cabinets, lights in the walk in closets and pantry and also radiant barrier decking) At the end of the day, he actually received a better deal on the home Pricing and incentives are subject to change at anytime without notice and that is exactly what happened in this case If people don't do things on their part to make sure loan approval happens quickly, they are going to lose out on something As far as MrA*** not responding, the sales associates are to handle ALL issues with ALL buyers out in the field The information the sales repgave to Mr*** is the same information he would have received from MrA***

The one year warranty from the builder which covers basically everything in the home, has expired. Unfortunately, had the prior homeowner notified us of the problem prior to that warranty expiring, we would have looked into the problem and resolved any issue that may have been found. Our
assumption is that they did not feel there was anything wrong as airflow in the home can be a matter of opinion from one person to another. At this point, there is nothing that we the builder are going to do as the home is well over a year out of warranty

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10775904, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint Although I agree with some of the terms here the fact that I have waited and endured multiple mistakes with Long Lake and was assured by the sales person Gary that they would work with issues that arose due to my patience should be enough to receive my money backAs stated before on 6/I sought to cancel and receive my funds back through email from MrBourelle and he contacted me and verbally stated he would assure that I was in the homeThis is an unfortunate event that we could not close on the homeI do hope we can have a quick resolution of this situation.

We apologize that you are having issues with your air conditioning However, it is up to the homeowner to register equipment, not the builder

Per the contract Mrs. [redacted] signed with Long Lake, once the house reaches substantial completion, she is required to close or Long Lake has the option of cancelling the contract and retaining all money on hand.  While the lender was not ready to close when the house reached completion on...

8/6/15, Long Lake agreed to extend the contract.  After receiving an email from the lender on 8/14/15 requesting 4 more conditions to be fulfilled, Long Lake decided to exercise their right to cancel the contract.  As a side note, one of the conditions was for the appraiser to conduct a final inspection. The home had been sitting there 100% complete for 8 days.  No excuse for this not being completed by 8/14/15. As what usually happens with an outside lender, they are never ready to close when the house is completed.  It is basically a no win situation for anyone involved.
