Review: A year and a half ago I purchased a Weatherby PA 459 12 gauge, and taken this gun clay/gallery shooting a grand total of four times. Firing a total of approximately 300 rounds overall (mostly birdshot & a little buckshot). Every time I've fired more than 80 rounds through it something either comes loose or falls off. The first time it was the front sight and the buttstock came extremely loose. So the retailer I bought it from repaired it free of charge. Second time the exact same thing happened except the front sight came off this time. So I sent it into Weatherby's service center, supposedly they "fixed the problem" by adding locktite, which should have been there to begin with. The third time I only fired 25 rounds through it and it held up ok. The forth time the buttstock came loose again, but the kicker was the picatinny rail came clean off, like popped right off the barrel after firing about round 85. So I send it into Weatherby again, only for them to sit on it for a month and a half before I get fed up and call in (I work nights so daytime operating hours are sometimes difficult to catch). Only to have them tell me that the gunsmith found this repair to void the warranty; despite no obvious marks indicating mishandling of the weapon, despite everything with a screw on this "gun" coming loose or breaking, despite the cross-threading on what's left of the screws on the picatinny rail (they are the only ones to even touch them from manufacturing to now), despite previous repairs that didn't hold up, and mostly despite all logic and reason. They admit no fault in the defects of the weapon, never mind the previous service record, and refuse to budge on repairs, refunds, or anything even remotely satisfying to somebody who shelled out $500 for a glorified paperweight. I can't help but feel like I'm calling Comcast all over again. Long story short; American company that not only moved all their manufacturing overseas, but also apparently phones in every other aspect of a once reputable business.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund; not store credit, not a brand new extra special 12 gauge, not the original item repaired and returned. A 100% refund of my hard earned money. In a perfect world I would receive and apology for the way I've been treated and compensated for the wasted time that the gun has spent in the repair shop and the amount of time I've had to call in without receiving any calls back. In reality the refund is the best I can expect, and probably won't get close to that anyway.

Review: I purchased a rifle produced and warrantied by Weatherby. The rifle was received marred and with an excessive play between the bolt and receiver. The bolt actually hit the wooden stock of the rifle. I sent the rifle back to weatherby. They told me the play in the bolt and receiver was within manufacturing specs. They agreed to fix the mars and return the rifle. When I received the rifle the mars in the wood finish were gone but the bolt still hit the stock. I returned the rifle a second time on April 16th 2015. There answer to fix my issue was to replace the stock with one in which bolt did not contact stock, rather than to address the play in the bolt. I have contacted Weatherby on numerous occasions being told that the stock is on order,, the stock is back ordered, the stock still isn't here yet, the stocks are in quality control, they don't know why it's taking so long, they will find out what is taking so long and get right back to me etc etc. I talked to an attorney and was told about caveat-emptor and that unfortunately it is not against the law to manufacture poor quality products and then sell them. However there is also reasonable time within which a warranty should be satisfied. I am convinced I have been getting the runaround. Again I sent this rifle back on April 16th of 2015, they have had it for almost seven months. Because of the fact that I would be using this rifle for hunting to supplement the red meat my family consumes, I've had to spend money on another rifle to use for this hunting season so right now I'm out the cost of two expensive rifles.Desired Settlement: As they will not address the sloppy bolt issue I want the new stock put on and the rifle returned to me. Or a refund of the equal value of the rifle in good condition. I much rather have the money than the rifle.

Review: I purchased a Weatherby rifle new at L.L. Bean in Maine while on vacation in late September of 2015. I couldn't check the bolt or trigger action since the rifle had locks installed but since it was a 'Weatherby' I assumed all was good with the rifle. Once home I checked the rifle and found it had a bad trigger - too much creep and not smooth at all. I called Weatherby and was told to return it for repair since it was under warranty. Weatherby received the rifle on October 22nd. December 8th my wife was contacted by Weatherby Service and told the rifle had been shipped back to us. She informed the tech that we were leaving town on the 10th and wouldn't be here to received the rifle. The tech told her that was fine since UPS would hold the rifle for us. We got home on December 28th and (3) notices were on the door, the last stating the rifle was returned to Weatherby. The return tracking had the rifle scheduled for delivery back to Weatherby on Jan. 5th 2016. I called on the 4th of Jan. and was told its on the 'dock' and it would be scheduled to return ship to me. I called on the 7th to check since I received no call with the tracking number and it was 'STILL SITTING ON THE DOCK'. I was assured again it would go out that day (Jan 7th) and I would receive a call with the tracking number. I called today to check again to see if the rifle was shipped, 'AGAIN ITS STILL SITTING ON THE DOCK'! Every time I call I talk with someone new but they all assure me they will put a 'note' in my file to get this rifle shipped. I no longer want this rifle, it's brand new and never been shot. If this is how Weatherby treats customers than they need to get another line of work. This is extremely poor customer service !!!Desired Settlement: This rifle is 'brand new' and never been fired. Since I can't get them to deliver it back to me they can keep it and refund me my $609.73, I no longer want this rifle.
