Weatherguard, Company

In 2011, I contracted Weatherguard to reroof my home, and Precise Air Systems Inc. to install a new air conditioner unit. They were contracted through Costco and included a 10-year warranty. Since the work was scheduled for the same day, the two companies needed to cross-coordinate. Precise would install the aircon first, then Weatherguard would re-roof the house.
On the day of the job, Precise Air did not appear at the worksite due to a delay in parts. Because rain was coming, Weatherguard needed to reroof immediately, and Precise installed the aircon at a later day. As a result of their delay, Precision had to cut into the new roof to install the aircon, and heavily trampled the roof in the process. They agreed to take responsibility by paying Weatherguard to repair the damages to my roof, with a 10 year warranty on the work. Weatherguard reroofed the trampled area a second time.
In 2014 when it began to rain, my roof leaked at the area where the second reroofing took place, causing water and mold damage to my newly remodeled ceiling as well as sagging. After investigating, I discovered Weatherguard did not properly complete the second reroofing. I immediately notified Weatherguard to schedule a repair according to the warranty, but they never came to any of their appointments. This happened over 10 times over many years as I called them again and again, and on each scheduled day my wife and I had to stay home from work resulting in lost wages. We were also forced to spend hundreds of dollars on temporary roof coatings to try and prevent further damage during the rainy seasons while waiting for Weatherguard’s to fix their defective work. It was only 4 years later in 2018 that a Weatherguard employee visited our home, but after declaring that he didn’t have the materials for the job, he left and never came back, and the scheduling issue continues to this day, with Weatherguard ignoring my calls or being unwilling to honor their warranty.
