the repair and stopped the leak at the pump. I told her that I didnt know if she would have any other problems with vehicle due to it being overheated. She came back in within a few days and said it had overheated on the hiway. It was obvious at that time that the headgasket  had failed. I tried to explain to her that if there was any other leaks that they would show up after we stopped the major leak at the water pump.  We contacted her warranty company to try to get the repair covered, They declined. We offered to do the repair for $1200 to $1500. She had more than one problem and fixing the obvious coolant leak was where we had to start.      If we could have determined the headgasket issue at the time of repair , It still would have needed the water pump replaced and the headgasket repair.
