Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/25) */
The purchased vehicle was approximately 7000 miles past the warranty period when the engine issue was diagnosed. As a good will gesture, George Weber Chevrolet and the customer made a repair agreement. The customer agreed to pay 50% of the...

total bill for the necessary repairs. Upon completion of the repair, the customer wrote a check for his agreed portion. George Weber Chevrolet released the vehicle to the customer. George Weber Chevrolet was later notified by it's bank that the check was cancelled by the customer.
I notified the customer by telephone to alert him that the cancelled payment of his check could possibly lead to legal action. He said he understood, and had already sought legal counsel. We mutually ended the phone call. At this time, George Weber Chevrolet will have to address his response as directed by the authorities.

As indicated by the customer, the purchased service agreement has limitations on coverage. All paperwork signed by George Weber Chevrolet and [redacted] was disclosed properly. There is no mention of "bumper to bumper" warranty on any documents....

George Weber Chevrolet does carry GM certified vehicles that have LIMITED bumper to bumper coverage, but a 2005 vehicle would not have qualified for that coverage due to the age requirements of the GM certified program.
George Weber Chevrolet will aggressively pursue a generous trade in of the 2005 truck upon the customer request.

opportunities to communicate and explain her position, and/or return the vehicle, but avoided all communication with George Weber Chevrolet. The car was reported STOLEN. When the vehicle was finally obtained by George Weber Chevrolet, it was in horrible physical damage. The right front fender, right rocker panel and bumper have thousands of dollars of needed repair. The new vehicle now has 2061 miles on it. George Weber Chevrolet will retain the deposit, and will proceed with the cooperation of law enforcement as we move forward.Any questions, please contact [redacted] (General Manager-George Weber Chevrolet) [redacted]Thank you,[redacted]
